Posted June 9, 2016 Popular Post Share Posted June 9, 2016 Just a reminder (as if you needed it) that next week, June 17-18 is the ATCA's Annual Father's Day Weekend Truck Show in Macungie, Pa. I'm sure that Doug Maney is busy with both the Show and preparing the Museum for visitors, and may or may not have time to get on here. Is anyone that is coming going to be in the area on THURSDAY? If so you are cordially invited to dinner at the Tilted Kilt in Allentown (Lehigh Street, near the Museum.) You are responsible for your tab. If you are on Facebook, respond to Doug's post, or you can respond here....Just to give them a rough headcount. Posted June 9, 2016 Author Share Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) Maddog, for what it's worth, my wife enjoys going to the TK, and is OK with taking the kids there (they even have a kids menu.) It's not like the Nuns are stripping or anything. Friday night is the ATCA "Family Reunion" picnic, which you have to RSVP for- but I think that is now closed. Saturday night myself and a few Sterling Truck friends get together at the Fogelsville Inn- maybe that's what you were thinking? Edited June 9, 2016 by 1958 F.W.D. Also will likely need transportation each day between the show and hotel. Anyone else staying at Hawthorn Suites? I know it was me and the wife, Randy, Ron and Vlad and a few others?? I forgot about the picnic. Are you thinking of Trucktoberfest? I remember several years ago, a group met at the Hotel for dinner Friday evening. If Vlad was present, then it was likely Saturday evening after the ATCA show. Vlad and his son were at the NIT emporium on Thursday evening with the rest of us distinguished people. The Hampton Inn (Fogelsville?) is about 1 mile south of the Hawthorne. Do you plan to be at the show grounds Thursday afternoon?
