leversole
Video is shaky...trying to steer, shift, and record...next one will be with a tripod! Learned a valuable lesson today, DO NOT have your engine brake on when on solid ice! http://youtu.be/EJs6UucFSCQ
Green Dash
Nice job considering you were multi-multi-tasking.Jakes and Cruise Control are no-no's on slick roads. Prolly shouldn't use them at all while bobtailing on any surface with no weight on the drives. 1 Quote Jim
farmer52
Very nice!!! BTW, what video cam did you use?Cruise control bobtailing with a single axle is bad too (maybe worse than tandem). Gmerrill0516
I was delivering a load of wood in a 30 yard dumpster in my friends Peterbuilt. I had no idea the grade of road or the condition but I had the tag down and turned up the hill. The water running across the road had frozen and the one lane road got real steep real fast. I tried lifting the tag but lost my momentum and stopped. While I was figuring out my next move the truck started sliding back down the hill! I found a patch of dirt I guess and it stopped while I engaged the air locker. That gave me enough hold to make the crest of the hill. I'm new to driving and yes it was a learning experience. Fortunately No dents, dings or bruises.

hicrop10
They would cut the balls off your bulldog if they caught you driving with a camcorder in your hand down here in Philly.Hell they fine you a $100 if you even have a cell phone in your hand.I saw one jackass get pulled over for talking on the phone and when the officer walk up to the car she just kept right on talking. (only a 10 right now!)...I think it needs a little more air pressure on the compound as the compound shift seems sluggish, I can shift all but 4D-5L like butter most times! I read about shifting 4D-5D then compunding back to 5L...today is the first day I didnt drive it!

We had a DOT meeting a few months ago and if I remember correctly, first offense in a CMV is $2600 and second offense is $26,000. I might be wrong though. It is also a "primary stop" meaning truck enforcement can stop you just for having a phone out. They always hang out in front of Anderson's yard on Allegheny and nail people all day.
