  1. Just got back from the show . Great show well organized . Took a few pictures but my camera broke after the pictures of the Studebakers with the Detroits . Did get a picture of a B 61 with a factory sleeper. Finally caught up with and met Larry Freightrain .
  2. Would like to see pictures when you get these on the truck. Looking good so far .
  3. I went to the local Bureau of Motor Vehicles Registration office in Preble county OH and got historical plates for $46.45 in 2014 for my B 61. The are good until 6/30/2050 . I doubt that I will be good for that long .
  4. I plan to be there Friday and Saturday . Only a couple of hours drive for me . Was planing on Driving the B model but it will not be ready by then .
  5. Great pictures and great country . I have a son who lives in Belgrade and says he will never live in Ohio again .
  6. Thanks that is what I thought but have never seen one in real life.
  7. What is the thing attached to the bolt on the spring pack that appears to rub on the chain ?
  8. Mike you are right as I see it. I had the right door hung and adjusted then the left was was hung with the top hinge bolted to the door. Instead of removing the door I just took the lower hinge out cut the strap or arm and welded it. For me this was faster than welding, drilling, and taping new holes.
  9. I got everything from Watts . The roll up channel that the glass mounts in was different from the original and had to be modified . My driver door hinges were poor also . Rebuilding them looked to be a big job . There was a post on them sometime ago but you would have to have to more machinist tools and skills than I have . I found a set at Macungie . They were new but tan in color and the seller did not know what they fit . They went in the door pillar ok but the bottom hinge holes for the door were off . I cut the strap in half turned it over welded it and everything fit. I used Ditzler MAE 45735 LT GREEN MET paint . Best of luck with your doors
  10. Just a question . On my truck when I pull the heater knob out the fan starts at a high speed . The farther out I pull the knob the slower the fan gets. Not that it makes a difference . Would switching the wires change this .
  11. A one wire alternator works . A good starter, generator, alternator repair shop will give you the size once they know the battery size and what you are doing . Just switch the wires on the fuel gauge, amp or battery gauge, and heater fan switch . I used my old generator bracket and some all thread to get the correct alignment on the belts . If your old generator works and you are concerned a good shop can rebuild it . Most older system are pos. ground which means the battery is grounded to the frame on the + side of the battery. Negative ground the - side of the battery is connected to the frame.
  12. I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 on a Freightliner low pro with hydraulic brakes pulling a trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes . It would not always pick up the signal from the break pedal. After a week or so of trying to fix it contacted Tekonsha they suggested to tap into the brake line off the master cylinder with a switch that works off hydraulic pressure . Works great now.
  13. Thanks  but would like to find a complete truck . What is difference in the frames between the H 67 and H 63 . Are there any books available on the H series .

H67 and H63 frames I have are virtually the same. Mack Museum has a lot of information available

  14. I think Maddog is correct on this . Working on my fenders now what I purchased from Restoration Specialties MTF194 is not what came off between the headlight panel and fender . Something closer to the # 193. 5/16" x 1" ribbed International Truck Fenderwelt was stapled to head light panel using large steel staples.
  15. I agree with Harry S . Have always switched the the coil wires when changing from pos to neg ground and has always worked .
  16. Nice find . I have been looking for for a H model but no luck yet .
  17. Wanted any Mack H -63 or similar truck in restorable condition.
  18. Could be worse . Just take the trim off and paint that half of the hood . On a perfect job like that something like that really sucks. I think most of us have been there .
  19. Great video. I changed the set in a GMC years ago the bushings were nylon . Easy to get together but I do not know how long they lasted . I sold the truck after a few years .
