  1. I have used one for years on tractors, trucks, land mowers , and anything , that has a 12 volt battery . I just switch them to something else when they show a full charge .
  2. You are correct the silicone would be a problem showing up as fish eyes on a repaint. I have never used the water sealer but have known some that have used it but have not repainted . A good wax and grease remover may help if done correctly .
  3. I would leave like it is. You can always repaint it but never get it back to original. There are a number of ways to save the original patina . Eastwood sells a patina preserver some use the thick Thompson water sealer .
  4. That thing is really neat . Why do the front tires stick so far out past the fenders . Wrong rims ? Hope you get it needs a good home .
  5. Great pictures . Saw one of my favorites the yellow B model Mack .
  6. Good looking dog. One of my favorites German Sheppard .
  7. Epoxy primer is the way to go . Sometimes difficult to scuff up . I sometimes follow the next day with a coat of urethane primer it is easier to sand or scuff . It looks as you are off to a good start.
  8. Great work . That is a good paint gun for the price . I have one and have used it mostly for primers and some finish work . That Nason epoxy may have a recoat window .
  9. BuddyBartonAuctions.com. A bunch of Superliners, B models, R models, Autocar, and a LTLST to name a few.
  10. Auction ended today . I had a bid of $ 275 on the C model went looking for some other items buy the time I got back to it sold for $ 400 . Was a steal good title , ran when parked , right side window broken , rest of the glass good , and rust free . The DM went for $400 also . I had transportation lined up and a place in New Mexico to keep it .
  11. I do not know about the discharge line off the compressor but the intake off the air cleaner is the same as heat pump air conditioner copper used for home units . I used the teflon stainless braid from Truck Pro to the copper line to the tank .
  12. When the switch to neg ground was done for most cars I was told by a mechanic that it was for corrosion . Looking at the batteries on most of my stuff the positive terminals seem to have the most corrosion .
  13. This was discussed a few times here . If I remember correctly switch the wires on the fuel gauge , amp or volt meter , switch the battery cables and polarize the generator . If I left anything out some one here will add to it.
  14. Thanks . Was the engine tilted to provide more room ?
  15. Can anyone tell me what the engine in the C model is ?
  16. Something like this should should be on the news instead of all the worthless crap that is shown now.
  17. I always looked forward to his pictures . Hope he comes back .
  18. Do not know anything about this engine but look for marks on the harmonic balancer . Some older tractor engines had a window on the bell housing with marks on the flywheel . Hook up a timing light and see what shows up .
  19. I agree just paint the black areas . You can always paint the cab later . But once you do it is gone forever.

  21. If you can get this truck to a good paint supplier they can computer match the paint .
