  1. It is the abandoned vehicle code. Most municipalities in PA have one. All vehicles must be licensed, registered, insured and complete. If not the land owner can be fined $100 per day per vehicle. Each township enforces the law differently. Some only act on it if there is a complaint. Some roam the township looking for infractions. My township will tag anything that is visible from the road. I am moving to a township that only tags if there is a complaint. I had 11 vehicles tagged two years ago. We moved most of them out of view. We sold some. We are in the process of cutting up a B85F and a B42S. If you insure it antique and get an perminent antique license you should be ok, but maybe not if it has a flat tire or something else that makes it unpresentable. Good Luck, Mike http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/10005-nuisance-vehicles-sticker/
  2. I bought the C90 in July of 2008. Bud Temple, who had owned Frame's, still had the 1950 C65. I tried to buy that too, but his son wanted to keep it. I don't think his son was very happy that he sold this one. The C90 is the nice truck anyway and it is more unique. It is my favorite truck in my collection. Mike
  3. I am glad to live in an area with so much trucking history. Autocars were built just south of where I live and Macks are built 18 miles north. Here are my two Autocars. I might have posted them before. This is a 1960 DC75T with a 250 Cummins with a Jake and a 5 and a 2. It was built in Exton, PA http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13170-1960-autocar-dc75t/ This is a 1950 C90D. It has a 501 Blue Streak gas and a 5 and a 2. It has a hydraulic lift tag axle. The drive axle is 8' 6" wide so it would have needed a permit every time is went on the road until the width law changed. It was built in Ardmore, PA before White bought Autocar in 1953 and moved the plant to Exton. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9716-1950-autocar-c90/ Mike
  4. Do you have a phone number for them? I am partial to fire trucks. It woud go well with my 1979 GMC 7000. Mike
  5. Nice score. I guess it won't be coming east to my house then. Mike
  6. They are great. Keep them coming. The one with the shovels on the train is a work of art.
  7. Here is another stainless Autocar. I think there were about a dozen made. There was a good article in Double Clutch a few years ago. Gap and another guy Gene(?) own about 5 of them. The one on the trailer has a few problems, but is still a very neat truck. Some of you may not like the Pete hauler, but it is a nice, original truck. Mike
  8. What's the word on the G model? Did you buy it? Is it on a trailer headed to my house? My birthday is coming up in a few months. Mike
  9. It didn't sell. I thought $8,000 didn't seem like a bad price for so many good parts or an unusual toy. Mike
  10. This one is in Gerhart's boneyard. The signs were removed last year though. Mike
  11. I just heard a story about him on NPR Monday. I had never heard of him before. He made $19,000 a year playing major league ball. Nice truck. Mike
  12. I have a fuel pump off a B85 and also a 5 speed transmission. I do not know what model 5 speed, but can find out. Make me an offer. I am in Pennsylvania. The truck above is in Kentucky or I would have bought it. It would cost too much to ship. Mike
  13. That A54 belongs to Jim Widman. I have the serial number around somewhere for the other A model. It had belonged to Tom Zacney. Mike
  14. Here is my A20H. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/10003-mack-a20h-1844/ Here is my A40. My 405A is in the middle. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/10999-macungie-2012/. I can get you better pictures of any of them. Mike
  15. Nice trucks have come from much less. If you are going to restore it you really have your work cut out for you. It is a neat truck. Good luck. Mike
  16. Yes it is a Spartan. I took the emblems off of it to compound and polish it. Mike
  17. Bring him up to my house before Macungie. I'll get him a stool to stand on. Mike
  18. My father and I have gotten to know the owner of these trucks, Stan. Nice guy. Before he bought his Superliner he tried to buy my fathers. He said he was going to make it really nice. My father told him it was nice enough the way it was and it was not for sale. He has managed to make due without my father's truck. I think her had another truck at South Bend, too. 19. Maybe I'll run up there and look at the MH. I could use some interior parts if they are any good. What is the name of the place? Mike
  20. This guy works this truck daily. It has been repowered with a 237 out of a CF. It is great to see it going down the road. Here it is parked in the lot at my work. We get him to do a lot of work for us. The B model definitely plays into the decision making process of who will get the job. Mike
  21. I'll buy it if you don't. It would fit in nicely with my H model too. Mike
