  1. Do you have a phone number for them? I am partial to fire trucks. It woud go well with my 1979 GMC 7000. Mike
  2. Nice score. I guess it won't be coming east to my house then. Mike
  3. They are great. Keep them coming. The one with the shovels on the train is a work of art.
  4. Here is another stainless Autocar. I think there were about a dozen made. There was a good article in Double Clutch a few years ago. Gap and another guy Gene(?) own about 5 of them. The one on the trailer has a few problems, but is still a very neat truck. Some of you may not like the Pete hauler, but it is a nice, original truck. Mike
  5. What's the word on the G model? Did you buy it? Is it on a trailer headed to my house? My birthday is coming up in a few months. Mike
  6. It didn't sell. I thought $8,000 didn't seem like a bad price for so many good parts or an unusual toy. Mike
  7. This one is in Gerhart's boneyard. The signs were removed last year though. Mike
  8. I just heard a story about him on NPR Monday. I had never heard of him before. He made $19,000 a year playing major league ball. Nice truck. Mike
  9. I have a fuel pump off a B85 and also a 5 speed transmission. I do not know what model 5 speed, but can find out. Make me an offer. I am in Pennsylvania. The truck above is in Kentucky or I would have bought it. It would cost too much to ship. Mike
  10. That A54 belongs to Jim Widman. I have the serial number around somewhere for the other A model. It had belonged to Tom Zacney. Mike
  11. Here is my A20H. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/10003-mack-a20h-1844/ Here is my A40. My 405A is in the middle. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/10999-macungie-2012/. I can get you better pictures of any of them. Mike
  12. Nice trucks have come from much less. If you are going to restore it you really have your work cut out for you. It is a neat truck. Good luck. Mike
  13. Yes it is a Spartan. I took the emblems off of it to compound and polish it. Mike
  14. Bring him up to my house before Macungie. I'll get him a stool to stand on. Mike
  15. My father and I have gotten to know the owner of these trucks, Stan. Nice guy. Before he bought his Superliner he tried to buy my fathers. He said he was going to make it really nice. My father told him it was nice enough the way it was and it was not for sale. He has managed to make due without my father's truck. I think her had another truck at South Bend, too. 16. Maybe I'll run up there and look at the MH. I could use some interior parts if they are any good. What is the name of the place? Mike
  17. This guy works this truck daily. It has been repowered with a 237 out of a CF. It is great to see it going down the road. Here it is parked in the lot at my work. We get him to do a lot of work for us. The B model definitely plays into the decision making process of who will get the job. Mike
  18. I'll buy it if you don't. It would fit in nicely with my H model too. Mike
  19. You can call the Mack museum to find out the year while you are waiting on the rest of the information. It is best to know the correct year when you change the title because PennDOT will change the year when they are changing the title for no additional charge. It will cost you if you try to change it later. I have a 1960 B422T that is serial number 19070 so yours is probably a 1959 or 1960. Good luck and have fun with it. Mike
  20. Neat truck. Looks like a Fageol hood on it. Mike
  21. I hope to be there one or both days. I have never been to the auction. I have gotten some good stuff at the sunday flea market though. I got a Mack extinquisher a few years ago. Mike
  22. Congratulations. Post more pictures and some specs. And lets see more of your new MH too. Mike
  23. This truck belonged to a guy named JT. He was either from Philly or Jersey. He died of a heart attack about 10 years ago and wanted George to get his truck. I have a picture of it on the trailer heading north. It was claimed that IH did not make sleeper V model's, but here is one. I have seen other pictures since I heard that claim so they obiously did. It just isn't available in the surviving paperwork from the period. Here is a link to my V model semi-open cab. 549 gas V8, 5 speed, hydraulic brakes, 85' Peter Pirsche aerial. It is a married piece that served Reading PA. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9715-ih-v190-tiller/ Mike
