  1. Your museum looks great. I wish I had visited it when I was in Fairbanks a few years ago. I'd like to see that Auburn boatail speedster up close. Mike
  2. I have two MH612's, an 85 and 93. Both are from Ralph G Smith Horse Transportation. Here is a link to my gallery. This is the 85. The 93 looks almost identicle. Mike http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9129-biking-snow-trucks-laths-january-2011-039jpg/
  3. Try Sparr in Florida.
  4. Get the one with the full dump bed. I have some B model parts outside of Philly. You can look at pictures in my gallery to see if I have what you need. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9991-b42x-22872/ Mike
  5. Will you be bringing a heavy enough truck to bring the 707? Can you describe partially disassembled? Are the headlights available? Thanks, Mike
  6. I have had a very hard time finding parts for my Lanova. My mechanic bought a spare motor off of Roger Gerhart, but still need to have 8 valves made. He had to get a part for the air compressor made in Mexico. He has been working on the LFT on and off since November of 2010, but finally has it running. It should be at Macungie. I will post pictures of it after it makes its appearance there. I have an A20 parts truck, but it is a flat head gas and is very rusty. I did use some brake parts off of it for my 405A because the postal service lost the originals when I sent them to be rebuilt. Good Luck. Mike
  7. That flat head six has no power. Maybe I should put a Detroit in my A model. Mike
  8. You forgot me! Did our conversation at the Spring Melt mean nothing to you? I have not heard anything more about the Hamerly. It has an oil spreader in it (8V61). Mike
  9. That is going to be the best olive drab paint job ever done. Great work. Mike
  10. Thanks, Vinnie. I go out to the pole barn and roam around to cheer myself up if I have had a bad day. We took 19 trucks to Macungie last year and brought 20 home. I think we will take 15-20 this year. We will be taking several trucks for the first time. Macungie is my favorite weekend of the year. Mike
  11. Contact Ray, mhe9 for a price. He has hauled stuff for a lot of members and they have all been satisfied. Mike
  12. That is one good looking F model. Ron's brother Tom said it blew up its first V8 on its first trip to Baltimore. It went right back to Mack for a new one. It is at least on the third, maybe more. I have the last engine out of it as a parts engine. Here are a bunch of F models in near Huntington Pa in my gallery. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9983-raystown-mack-f-models-043/ Mike
  13. My father and I start taking trucks up on Thursday morning. Look for me with several yellow fire trucks and several Ralph G Smith trucks. If anyone is in town and wants to roam around my pole barn you are welcome. Mike
  14. White bought Autocar in 1953 and moved the production from Ardmore PA to Exton Pa. It moved production to Ogden Utah in 1980 or so. Production was stopped in the late 80's. The name was bought by another company and are made in Indiana. Somebody should know the exact dates. Mike
  15. I'll be there. I'll be sleeping in my own bed and eating breakfast at home. I only live 18 miles away. I started going to the show with my parents in the early 80's. It will be nice to meet you. Mike
  16. Paul, Nice meeting you and talking to you. The extingisher is great. A guy named Dave, from Mass, tried to buy it from me when I was leaving. He has Ahrens Fox's. He is the guy who bought the extingisher from Cal. Nice talking to firemack and FWD. Carl, I didn't see you there on Sunday. I was looking for you I have a whole box of the red lights that I got from the Bally Fire Company near me. I brought on to Macungie last year and drove over it. I should put them on trucks. Mike
  17. I sent you a PM. Mike
  18. Good point Leslie. Hopefully they are not being that hard on you have to do something immediately. My township ordinance says the vehicles must be in a fully enclosed structure. Just a roof is not good enough. All of this is a property rights issue. I can see both sides. I don't like when the neighbor burns the casing off of wire. He doesn't like looking at my trucks. Mike
  19. It never took that long for me to that long. I often have plates in a week or so using a courier survice. If you go to PennDot in Harrisburg with the title and proof of insurance they will give them to you on the spot. They will mail you the title with antique brand later. If you plan on working the truck later you do not want to put antique tags on it. I am told it is very difficult to convert it back unless it is sold. It used to automatically convert to regular. You can bet temporary tags, but they cost the same amount as normal tags for whatever weight you use. Mike
  20. Thanks Mike. My bumper is ok, but not perfect. I have a new aftermarket bumper, but it is not the same as the original. I know of 2 trucks in junk yards around here, but have not gotten the time to go look at them. Firemack stripped the interior out of the one already and the bumper and grill are bad, but maybe the fuel tank is ok. I really like that first MH. I'm glad it is sold because I do not need any more trucks. (Not that I won't buy anymore though). Thanks, Mike
  21. Will you be selling any parts or just complete trucks. I need some interior parts for our 1988 and 1993 MH612's(seat pads and covers and a dog box cover) Also the left upper grill piece, a fuel tank and a bumper, but this stuff might be hard to ship. Thanks, Mike
  22. Where are you located? Mike
  23. I decided to buy a small farm instead. I might not be buying any trucks for a little while, but I will have more room to store them once my back account recovers. George, I am moving to Red Corner Rd in Union Township Berks County over by French Creek. Mike
  24. They kept this truck until the company shut down. John said he took these pictures in the 80's. I tried to buy this truck, but it was already sold when I got there. I think it was the nicest of the old trucks they had. I like the ones I got, but I really like this one. I offered the new owner $1000 over what he paid. He said "no, thank you." I think the dump I posted earlier has the 5 speed out of the CF in it. I don't know if it has anything behind it. I will ask him when I see him next. Mike
