  1. I work for a county highway dept. we bought 6 new 2006 7600 Internationals with the Allison we have had more trouble with the wiring in those trucks since new, most have been transmission wiring, I think there are 40-50 wires going to the computer on the side of the transmission, nice place to put the computer when you are plowing snow. also the 3 2013 Freightliners that we got are junk.
  2. other dog, sure that wasn't the Blue & White around Indy area. I stopped a the Iowa 80 back in the mid 70s, sure looks different now. I remember the union 76 on 159th street in Chicago. I cant remember what the name of the truckstop a Beaverdam, OH.

  4. Don't forget to cover the crankshaft.
  5. Thanks Brocky, $10.00 sounds more fair, $ 50.00 for 2 nights is not going to break me but when you drive 500 miles I would rather put $50 fuel in the tank. 3 of us are plan on going would be cheeper to get a hotel but you would have to rent a car. Ron
  6. I was filling out my ATHS Springfield, MO. registration form and looking it over I saw they are charging $25 to get in the fairgrounds, $15 for the truck, what is this ( in- truck camping $25 a night ) what is this, are they charging $25 a night to stay in your own truck ???? if that's the case I wont be attending. Ron
  7. Thanks Josh, I have 3 1070 10 speeds laying around, if and when I get started on my project I was thinking about putting the 10 speed behind my 325.
  8. Did you leave the 5 or 6 speed in the 865 or do you have a multi speed transmission. I was thinking about the older 10 speed Mack, would it work rite with a 325, just wandering. Ron
  9. Thanks Al and Farmer , those were some cool cars. wish they made American iron like that
  10. I bought the doors, dash and door hinges off him 3-4 years ago.
  11. I think AMC had a Rambler that was red-whit -blue.
  12. The early 237s didn't have the heavier rods that the 285-300s had, the early 237 blocks might not hold up like the 300s do also. like Mike said its not worth 4 grand. im pretty sure I have seen 300s and 350s cheaper than that awhile back on here in the classifieds
  13. Nice truck, do you know what brand of sleeper that is?? is it a 48".
  14. I have saw that too on the older trucks, what Mike said.
  15. Wonder if the same guy owns it, I thought I read on here awhile back he was building a newer Mack with a MP10. don't know why, he has the best truck that was ever made.
  16. Were all slowly falling apart Mike, hate to here that. hope for a speedy recovery, Walcott is not that far away. get well soon. Ron
  17. I thought my 73 RS V8 was 24 volt, I was using 2 12 volt batteries to start it. then one day I thought I would use one 12 volt to see if it would start, it started right up I thought the V8s turned over hard and used 24 volt starters, I was wrong.
  18. I like the looks of the RS - RL with shutters, nice fined Mike. good luck with it, hope to see it at Walcott next year.
  19. You are right on Mike.
  20. When ever i adjust manual slacks i tighten them all the way and back off 1/4 of a turn.
