  1. i spotted the sunvisor! im lookin for a Lund visor for an R model cab if anyone has one
  2. the white one in boonville is pretty rough. think the frame is cracked and the rear ends gears are screwed up. the guy also has a black one which is a repowered b42. i know because a friend of mine built both truck. he use to run the white one everyday with the big boys. use to be really nice about 15 years ago. think its a b53 with the fishbelly frame. the same guy also had a BCR in the back woods. the guy is a scrapper so thats whats the demise will probably be with those trucks cause i dont see him gettin what he wants for them.
  3. yup, was gonna say, few boards on the ramps to jack the front up a few inches after the back is on and it would have cleared. was down in albany friday night and sat and near saratoga sunday for a truck show. i imagine you got off in lake george and took 149 over to vermont?
  4. i dunno, i just put maxi cans on mine and ditched the old drum linkage and handle and its nice not bangin ur leg against it in the cab. more personal preference i think.
  5. use to be used a lot here in upstate ny. mailnly for road jobs like everyone said. my grandfather worked on I890 in Schenectady when Gull contracting and Valentie worked on it. they all had belly dumps, some on B62's and B42's and R models and diamond Reos. he said you could move lots of material fast without stoppin. said they would go down the road 40mph and hit the button and watch the sand spread everywhere and the dust would fly. back when truckin was fun, no one got tickets on jobs like this and the state troopers had a nice little trailer set up by the big men with women on the side.
  6. heres a question, how do u guys randomly search craigslist? everytime i go on i have to search a specific state or city
  7. the B61 in Utica is a friend of mines old truck. the guy also has a black one and a BCR that sits with these trucks. its actually a B53 with fishbelly frame i think and has big rears. use to be a pretty truck about 15 yrs ago he use to run it and said it would do about 90. it was pretty cobbed up tho. the B41 is actually a nice truck but its a B42. think its an old eastern rock Products truck( now Hanson Aggregates) . that yellow B30 is sure pretty. i kinda like the B42 with budds in orlando. i was told no more after the firetruck!
  8. i was just readin about them last night. i figured if anyone had some info it would be the one and only Rob haha
  9. wow, no one has an answer? ive even pondered the idea of havin a machine shop cut the disk from the old wheel and weld it into a radial rim.
  10. so ive been in back and forth contact with the seller and i think we are pretty much good on the deal. he has new hood chrome and a nos steering wheel that goes with it. he said the left front tire is a spare and the right is flat, which leads me to this question. we all know and assume its built on a dodge truck chassis or as least mack frame with dodge front and rear axles. i assume the tires are 8.25 20's oe 9.00 20's and they are Budds. i assume they are old school split rim blow ur head off design budds like studebaker used? does anyone know if i can get radial 22.5's in budds? id like to at least run a 900 20 radial and maybe a 1000 radial if it will fit. whats a 8.25 or 9.00 tire in tubeless radial form if they even make them? 9R22.5? thanks, Matt
  11. god, what did they do hook the yolks together from the transmission to the rear end????
  12. i dunno where to start on this topic haha. My truck has Dcc on it with DCX61 hardener with Dau75 clear. kinda backwards puttin that old school clear on but it sprays nice if you can still get it. the DBC you might as well brush paint a barn door with. that stuff is total garbage. that old Devilbiss JGA got used alot on my truck along with the new Sata. in my opinion nothin can lay down a good coat of primer like an old school gravity feed Devilbiss.
  13. that sucks, they arent much to begin with. usually the first thing to go is the center strip then they start to droop. nothin against Barry, he does great for us but i hope they are not 1200 in the B model store
  14. lancaster use to have the headliner about 5 years ago for around $190 bucks, im sure it went up but i cant believe if Barry is gettin 1200??? Im sure Lancaster still makes them. they made them for A, B and E models. least they use to.
  15. headliner you can get from Lancaster County upholstery, Lancaster Pa. have put in several and they have pretty much the best priced and best fittin one around. Doug Fetterly also use to sell the tuck and roll diamond plete style years ago. dunno if he still does. have tried one from Overthehilltrucks in the past and the fit was a real pain in the ass.
  16. yup, know a few guys drivin petes around here for Ron Allen Truckin that have out the long sticks in and broke the stops in the transmission i believe
  17. empty beers cans cause that was almost allowed back then
  18. sorry, truck is located in Somerset Pa and needs to be hauled about 7 hours north east to near albany ny
  19. upstate ny, about an hour wet of albany. was gonna do that but wanted to throw it out here 1st.
  20. i dunno ben, those cute ''bottom breathing'' girls are hard to come by. might wanna go after her. haha
  21. well i got contacted by the seller and i guess the buyer has failed to contact him. we made a deal for the truck and all the parts that go with it. spent more than i wanted to for a truck i probably dont need but i figured its kinda rare and needs some love. now im lookin for someone during august-september that is willin to haul it to upstate Ny for me. i think its around a 7 1/2 hour trip. Matt
  22. yup, Earl Pitts, couldnt remember it! havent heard from him in a long time. is he still with us?
  23. i figured Rob would be all over that long nose by now, might need it tho tow his other rigs from his house after momma burns it down.....
