This video came up as a recommend from YT So I watched it ! 1st thing came to mind was oh s**t that's Randy's truck . Glad to know it wasn't Randy & that the driver was ok . That would make anyone change their Hanes & Levi's right there on the spot . We never had a lowboy get hung up on a RR Crossing even w/ the last lowboy we had . A rogers 35 Ton Fixed neck that was So low to the ground we could load from the side if need be . I Hated that trailer cause I & the Man that drove our lowboy most of the time always thought that trailer would got us killed by hanging on a crossing . I Hate that feeling We got hung up coming in & out of jobsites w/ the last trailer a time or 2 but NEVER On the RR Crossing . I've herd some Horror Stories about lowboys getting hung up on the RR Crossings though .

FOR SALE 1981 Superliner with a Detroit
bulldog man replied to Freightrain's topic in Trucks for Sale
I & My family Have Owned GMC's/Chevy & a couple of Acars trucks through the years w/ 8V92, 8V71, 671, 6V92 & 6V53 . & When I was about Ben Jumpers Age & hadn't grown a Brain yet, my 85 C20 Silverado I owned from 15 to 26 , the 350 4 bolt locked up due to an oil pump I dropped a 453T In it . I had Straight pipes on it . We have owned 271,353,371,453,& 471 Power Units & in various excavating equipment . BUT The 1 thing My Family & Myself Refused to Own was Bulldog that had a Driptroit in it . no matter how bad we need a truck . We owned & ran 1) 79' R Model for about a year that had a 350 Cummins in it . Pop bought for next to nothing but that was the only Mutt we owned Every other Bulldog we owned through the years was Pure Bred . A Detroit in a Bulldog is just unholy . -
Very Cool Indeed !! Congrats to you & Your Dad Yardo !!

Some nice looking Jimmies . Makes me miss the 74' GMC 9500 Single axle Lowboy Tractor we had . Used to like to hear the 238 scream w/ a load on its back & esp going under an over pass & the belly blower exhaust of the 238 echoing against the wall . -

I See 3 brothers & a daddy w/ cleaned Shotguns , rifles & pistols sitting on the front porch in that young ladies future when some stinking boy comes around in about 12-15 yrs . I Can see Yardo now : he throws the Kid a 12 gauge Slug & tells him it moves faster after 10 pm

JT Nice 87' C30 Chevy Roll Back ya have there . My Grandfather owned a White 84' GMC K3500 4WD Service truck from new till bout 2000 , That looked like the C30 You have . Although the truck was basically our rolling shop That truck was my baby once I got old enough to drive I Got where when I wasn't in School, I drove it more than my personal 85 C20 Silverado I had @ the time . it had a 454 , 4spd w/ 205 transfer case & 4:56 gears . I put cherry bombs on it when I was 17 & had the exhaust end right where the cab & 12' flatbed met . It Had narrow "P" Style Buckshot Mudders on it, Manual Warn Lockout hubs & a 12,000 lb Warn Winch on it . Pop put 6 KC Daylighters placed on the headache rack, top side tool boxes & in the back of the bed by the tail lights for light when we had to work on a piece of farm or construction equipment in the field @ night . (had 1 hell of a battery & alternator on the truck for that very reason ). The running joke w/ my grandfathers crew was it might as well had been solely my truck rather than both of ours as I drove it more than he or the crew did . it was eventually titled in both of our names . Eventually my pop wanted to upgrade to another 1ton & told me he wanted to sell it . Instead of buying his part & keeping it Like a big dummy I signed my name as well on the title & it was sold to a buddy of his in MS . I Used to go to the local bottoms where a bunch of my friends went mudding & used to get paid to winch them out . I Know where a 86' K30 Chevy Silverado is that is similar to the 84' K3500 GMC We had . But this truck is A factory Baby blue paint job & Dually bed w/ the same specs & has a warn winch , grill guard & winch bumper w/ narrow style buckshots & Manual Warn hubs & it is owned by a friend of a friend & he has owned the truck since new & stays under a separate carport built just for it & he will not sell it. When I was in HS I used to meet him & that truck @ a 4way every morning when I was head to school . I always let him go 1st so I could hear the sound of the 454 & 4spd go through flow masters he has on the truck That & my 85 C20 Silverado Chevy are 2 trucks I wish I never sold . Id like to have another 84-87 K3500 Single cab to restore but they are getting hard to find around here .

Sure Looks like Vlad . I always like a tandem tractor w/ a short Wheelbase no more than 187" . Then again I was always in some tight spots w/ a truck. -
FOR SALE 1974 gmc 9500 & lowbed 25ton
bulldog man replied to jettertrucks's topic in Trucks for Sale
Looks like a set up we ran for a number of years . We had a 74' GMC 9500 similar to this one . ours was white w/ black Dayton hubs , belly blower exhaust , No a/c & had a 5&2 transmission behind the 238 (671) Detroit. & it pulled a 35 ton fixed neck Rogers Lowboy trailer w/ ramps . Only reason why we retired our single axle 9500 Jimmy was because we was on the boaderline w/ the weight limit @ the time .So we had to go to a Tandem lowboy tractor . I Miss that truck . Nice looking Jimmy & lowboy -
Wait till he cranks up the FWD & Hears A 671 (238) Detroit Diesel weed eater engine Loping & White Smoke coming out of the exhaust .

Happy birthday Larry .
