  3. that's when truck where truck. I don't think our new style improved plastic heavy cars will handle that much of work.

  5. I have an E9-900 mecanic inline fuel pump. I never investigate what was different inside..
  6. I bought a few trucks from Ritchie. normally nice people except once. I bought a heavy spec R700 from internet. I had it on my bill. It have been credited and went back to auction within a few minutes. Before I can notice and understand what was happening it was sold to one of the biggest truck dealer of the province. called them and nothing to do. that's the way it was...

  12. I'm looking for a cab for a 1998 mack rd688s. it was roll over. has a 350 mack with vmacII I'm located in Qc Canada but distance is not a problem. will prefer close to indiana/michican/illinois but will take what I can find!
  13. thanks, I already did this one. the thing is it don't show any code. oil pressure is ok water level/temperature is good and the truck would shut off after hard pull. you wait a few seconds/minutes and it fire right up. solenoid in the fuel pump have been change...
  14. anyone have a prolink or original mack software for VMAC 1 they're pretty simple system but I have an intermitent problem and I need to see what sensor goes wrong and when!
  15. the bolt is seized in the bushing. you now know that cheaping on never-seized when puting it back in place is not a good idea. last time I was able to cut it with a grinder and a few new cuting disk. you cut it on each side of the arm (inside the bracket) and it will lower. you'll be able to burn the rubber and get it off. get ready to weld the shaft under the airbag. it's always wornout/rusted. pay attention there is a cutter pin that lock the threaded stud. if you weld over it, you'll never be able to change it! I've always been scared to work on a neway and sent them to a suspension shop. once you've done it once, it's no big deal. I've learn that it sometimes easier to get the whole axle out of the truck with suspension arm and do it in the shop. I'm just done doing my super-liner ard244 and this is what I did. I take about 3 hours to take the whole thing out.
  16. the third one was used only to push the KW slowing down the group. it's nice to see a Mack in front of the gang again!
  17. am I too late to visit on sunday? I can't make it before late on saturday...
  18. just out of the factory in Macungie. it was tri-drive. mean machine!!
  19. thanks for sharing it with us. It's just so nice to see it back in the days. can you provide the link on the website please? I just want to make sure everyone got it right. The truck is not donated to the museum. I'm keeping it but it's on display there. I was not able to bring the truck back in Canada at that time I was too busy, so Mr Don Schumaker and some volonters went and drove the truck back to the museum with minor problems that they have to fix. They took care of everything helping me to reach my goal of saving that Mack. It will be at the Customer Service Center for a while to let everyone enjoy it. Without the museum help, it would have been 100 times harder for me to save it.
  20. I hope some of you will enjoy it. It is now safe and at the Mack Customer Center. thanks for the museum crew that went to NJ and drove it back. I'm really pleased that they helped me saving the truck. I bought it over the internet with pictures, I went at the museum last month and I was really happy with the truck. They ad to change a tire and put fuel in it for the way back and they don't charge me nothing. Maybe everyone that was offering 100$ to save it could send only 10$ to the museum. just a taught....
