  1. Never heard of any Mack clubs "south of the border".
  2. The number stamped in the cab is the cab number. VIN is likely 17 digits (numbers and letters) Per 2stack... The VIN should be on a plate on the driver's door along with the model number. Also check the frame in case the cab was changed.
  3. Barry is being quiet about his day. Maybe Watt's sent him on a week long cruise for his birthday. Or maybe he has not recovered from the celebration.
  4. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
  5. Save the serial number or save the truck? Here is your chance to get a second U.
  6. I had an "uninvited" visitor(s) to the farm last week...actually drove thru the yard and parked next to a building (with snow on the ground). Luckily nothing was stolen (albeit they tried) but I am sure they will be back. I am in the market for a motion activated wireless outdoor surveillance system. Ideally I would like the wireless camera to be battery powered since I will be installing cameras where there is no power supply. The farthest camera would be about 100 yards from the house. I started my interweb search but have not found exactly what I seek. I don't know what a system like this would cost (3-4 cameras) but $500 would not be out of my price range. I thought about buying "fake" cameras but dismissed the idea. "Lead" is not an option since I would need to be present. All the buildings are locked but as I said before..."locks only keep an honest person out." Seeking information and suggestions of systems to consider. Thanks in advance for any input!
  7. Always like the look of the 86 series IH with the square nose. I don't like the plastic futuristic stuff today (CIH, JD, etc.).
  8. Sorry to hear this story. I hope your parents can recover the money. Too many people out there trying to scam others (especially older people). I would like to see several scammers at the end of a rope! And part of the problem is the legal beagles. The law will likely just "slap their hands". What happened to honesty and doing a good job?
  9. Sounds like an inlet air restriction issue. Have you tried running it without a filter? Just long enough to determine if the filter is restricting the air flow.
  10. Wow, there are a bunch of youngins on BMT which is GREAT. Glad you are preserving the Mack tradition. Too bad more young people are not interested in preserving the past (not just Mack).
  11. My MH has a similar thermocouple connector. The wire from the dash to the engine has the mating connector. If your wire is okay, buy a mating connector and put it on the end of the gauge wire at the engine.
  12. Welcome to BMT
  13. Hmmm, that explains the new security guard.
  14. Looks like they are giving something "fresh air" or taking a pee break. Might want to stay away from them.
  15. Same with me. I can see all my "toys" at a yard sale.....YOUR CHOICE $1.
  16. Philly cheese steak = beef and cheese samwich. Just give me some good pork and saurkraut and shoofly pie.
  17. Happy Birthday Barry! Hope it is a great one! Thanks for all you do for BMT and Mack trucks! Happy Birthday Tim!
  18. Hayes makes a controller for air brake vehicles. http://www.hayesbc.com/?page_id=1065
  19. Bummer! Special on charbroiled food?
  20. Fogelsville Inn...maybe I will try it this year. I usually go to Gregory's near the airport. Great food there too but can be a drive especially with traffic on 22.
  21. Happy Birthday!
  22. Thanks everyone for the info.
  23. Perhaps Hank deleted all the Macks so BMT members could not repost.
