  1. Mr. kscarbel, Perhaps you should put your "money where your mouth is" and buy Mack from Volvo. The purchase to include Hagerstown, Macungie, Customer Center (old Engineering), and the old Mack World Headquarters building. Dust off the old blueprints from the Museum and start building Rs, Us, MHs, and fire trucks with E6, E7, and E9 engines. BTW, I might consider investing some of my mother's nursing home funds to be a "silent partner". Oh and how do we know you are an American? We will need to see your birth certificate. Just sayin'
  2. Leslie - I think you should sell your Superdog to me at a reduced price.
  3. The connectors behind the speedometer and tachometer per MHfred?
  4. Today (Saturday) the wife, 2 of her friends, and I visited the Flight 93 Memorial near Stoystown, PA. It is an impressive but somber place. The story about the plane crash and recovery efforts is very interesting. One of the guides said only 8% of the bodies (parts) were recovered. The remains are "buried" at the site - it is one large grave. It is definitely worth the time to visit and get an understanding of what happened on September 11, 2001. One can only imagine what went thru the passengers' minds and also the area residents that day. September 11 will always be remembered as I was flying from Cleveland, OH to Phoenix, AZ that morning. Here is the link to some images I took at the Memorial http://s1305.photobucket.com/user/pafarmer52/library/Flight%2093%20Memorial#/user/pafarmer52/library/Flight%2093%20Memorial?sort=2&page=1&_suid=13731568474840054683887953974775
  5. maybe he wanted to change the asking price.
  6. Girl? I had to go back and look at the image again. She blends in with the truck. Dang, just turned 61 and already I can't see the wimmin!
  7. Latest Twinkie update... http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/iced-cream-twinkies-frozen-returning-store-shelves-184945229.html http://www.kansasfirstnews.com/2013/07/05/emporia-festival-to-celebrate-all-things-twinkies/
  8. I am with hat...I don't know shit from shinola. Perhaps mine should be "BMT Certified BSer".
  9. Leslie - if you can back a pickup and camper/trailer, you can back a semi. Find someone with a trailer and practice. Look in the yellow pages and you might find a truck driving school that will rent "by the hour" and you can practice on their closed course. For the most part, a CDL is a good thing to have in your pocket. And the medical card...find a CVS drug store and hope there is a good lookin' female medic who will check you for a hernia. As for the 21,600, that is likely the "declared weight" for license/title purposes.
  10. She can put my "hot dog" in her bun anytime! P.S. I think I used all my "likes" on this thread. Oh and everyone have a safe and happy 4th!! My last day to enjoy 60.
  11. Vlad, Thanks for the review of your trip to the USA. Great pics too! It was a pleasure to meet you and your son. I hope you get to visit the USA again. Take care! P.S. You visited more places and saw more in two (2) weeks than most US citizens see in a lifetime.
  12. Nice lookin' MH and wimmin. Dang, I wish that blonde was at the farm. She could polish my "bumper".
  13. The Allison was smoother on the "take off" than the M-drive or Eaton Ultrashift. In "close quarter" work I would prefer Allision. Didn't get a chance to use the "jake" on the Granite.
  14. Congrats JT....do BMT members get towing "discount"?
  15. Mike - cruiser and super look nice. As for the batteries...that will teach you not to be like Otherdog and take "road shots".
  16. Mark - I am "lucky" to have a contact at Mack. At Trucktoberfest 2012, I had the opportunity to drive a M-drive truck/trailer around the track. I also was able to drive a Granite dump with Allison too. Not bragging, just sayin' it was great opportunity.
  17. Nice pics. Nice variety of trucks. Thanks for posting!
  18. Yep, a few of us signed up for life.
  19. Terry, Sorry to hear you sold your B. It is tough to sell something that has meaning. Been there, life goes on (hopefully for the better).
  20. tripometer?
  21. Not sure why is it called an Amercian Pot but... Most of us old country farts never had indoor plumbing (bathroom with shitter). We had an outhouse (usually a two-holer just in case someone else needed it while you were in there). In the middle of the night (especially winter) you did not want to be tripping to the outhouse to "take care of business". A "pot" was something used in the house that you did your "business" in. It was usually a decorative ceramic large container with a lid. You emptied and cleaned it each day. Us poor folks just used a galvanized bucket. You asked, now you know!
  22. Mrs. FWD is definitely better looking than "the old man".
  23. I will be at the Keystone Chapter truck show in Altoona.
