    Noted and fixed thank you. I have no idea where I got the idea of the model number denoting the model of engine. I did read something about the 3208 being offered in the Mh but I have never seen or heard of one.

    Mh653's are 3406 Caterpillar powered and Mh652's are 3208 powered. Only 4 of the 3208 powered ones were made which isn't surprising. If I remember correctly the C-15's are 14.8 liter and C15's are 15.2 but I might have that backwards. It might also only be the C15 ACERT's that were 15.2 liter.

    I've seen people strap tanks to tractor tires and spin them around all day that way. As for safety filing it up with water can work, and I've heard of people piping exhaust gasses into the tank.

    Most people just shoot the parts cannon and call that trouble shooting these days. Its a dying art On the note of a late Christmas gift, a guy west of me jackknifed and hit a bridge at 6:30 this morning. From what I hear he's alright but it bent the frame and tore the motor mounts out of the engine.

    Store was all out of black eye peas, hope that's a good sign for the year ahead.

    Looks great! Are you planning on finding some alloy rims for the front or are you going to keep the Dayton type?

    I know your asking about a B model but I found this in an article about the Mh cabover 7.7 Is great by todays standards, but in an 80s cabover it is incredible! A pyrometer is a big help when learning how to drive efficiently if your truck has one.

    I don't remember ever posting a pic of our Christmas tree last year. Too lazy to put a real tree up so this did the trick.

    Wouldn't mind having that R In my driveway! On an off topic note: I can't recall ever seeing an f250 with roof marker lights. I always associated marker lights as the mark of a one ton (at least in GM land)

    Good motors indeed. A lot of them still around here in bull haulers Also I can't say I've ever seen a factory snorkel on a Mh with an E6. I know some fleets requested them but most of the large fleets ordered Cummins. Interesting for sure!

    The first Duramax was an 7.8 inline 6 to test common rail on a mass scale. Can't find much info on the 7.8 but we got them here in box trucks and such. All I know is that Mitsubishi V8s sounded sweet!

    Wish I could buy a farm down in Australia, then I could farm all year long and not have to deal with the cold! Merry Christmas!

    V8 seem more popular there than they ever were here. Some of those trucks sounded like mini E9s! or at least 7.3 powerstrokes.

    Want to bump this us so it doesn't get lost in the weeds. Can't offer up anything except I've never seen fire rings cut into the sleeve/block, but since this is a dry sleeve engine maybe that doesn't work? Dale Francis is famous for doing E9 heads but I'm not sure if he messes with any of the other Mack engine heads. Someone here will know more.

    I'd agree with the DT466 idea since cummins can be a bit pricy to find. Plus DT466 is rebuildable!! John Deere engines can also be pretty easy to find and are about the same as a DT466. Eaton 6 or 7 speed is what I would go for but if you feel up to plumbing in air lines or even driving with twin sticks you can put any transmission in you want.

    Ford built and designed they say, although I've read that Italian Iveco might have had their hand in designing it.

    It was Braum's milk so it was the best of the best for store bought stuff. Still at $5.80+ per gallon I'm convinced its cheeper to keep a milk cow around. I'd guesstimate that the population of coyotes is more than equal to the population of people in my county. Each year a contest is held to see who can kill the most in one day. The winner is usually gets 20-30 and overall the contest kills 50-100+. The trapping/fur markets still big around here.

    Troubles seem to start in the rear HI-LO boxes on these Mack transmissions. From what I've heard rebuilds are tricky and not to many around to do it anymore ($). They can be swapped out for an Eaton but Im not sure about airline and clutch specifics. If your wanting to keep the driveline all Mack I'd look for a 12 speed, they're really nice if you do a lot of backing and seem to hold up pretty well.

    Don't eat out all that often but even the cheapest ingredients have gone up. $35 for 6 gallons of milk which will last the week. To make things worse a fox got all but one of our chickens the other day so no more fresh eggs

    Jokes aside It really does look similar to the 80s Ford CL9000 cabovers here in America. Don't know if they ever made it over to Europe so might just be a coincidence. I'd say they are my 2nd favorite cabover, behind the Mh of course.

    Forgot that Autocar was still kicking. I think the newest Autocar I've seen was a garbage truck.

    At some point I'd think it would be more cost effective to go with tracks than all those axles and tires!
