  1. $3,200.00 for a torque arm??? Are you Joking..??? Those are easy as shitting to replace..
  2. I wish I knew how to drive a quad box. All i know how to drive outside of regular grocery getter trannys is a Mack 12 spd. and a Mack X-107 twin stick... Boring I know...
  3. Mark, that sounds pretty cool.. If i ever own and old Mack i would like it to have at least a 12 spd. I will never need the gears but it would just be cool. I know i would do through all the gears just to play around.. Goofy i guess.
  4. Oh hell.... Crazy 😧
  5. as far as PAI engine kits goes, when I hold the parts in my hand they look and feel the same as Mack engine parts, I have compared the liners to each other using calipers to check dimensions and they are spot-on. The piston kit is also spot-on. the gaskets are great quality and actual has more gaskets in a PAI kit than the Mack kits. Pai includes head gaskets, unlike the Mack kits. plus the gasket and oring sets for both style oil coolers, and also has the balls for the piston cooling tubes, and the fuel crossover tube for the heads and the cam bushing set come with set screws thrust washer, and the rear cam plug, unlike Mack... I think I made my point.. Jojo
  6. ok well I would leave the air cyls alone if they are functioning good, maybe put a small amout of a light oil in the air filter to introduce some lubricant to the orings. just be sure the oil is good for rubber o-rings. The o-rings are buna rubber.
  7. Paul ? How is the range clutch sifted? Just curious, do you have a splitter button on the shift knob?
  8. Paul, i dont believe you have an air shifted range clutch. I may be wrong because i have never worked on a cruiseliner. My recommendation is for air operated shift cylinders.. I appreciate your question sir. Jojo
  9. I also have a few transmissions out there with P.A.I. synchros, and no problems..
  10. Yeah well Mack dealers have to suck it up. I have over a dozen Mack engines in a 20 mile radius of me that i built with P.A.I. kits in the last 8 years and i know they are still in service. I see the trucks off and on when Im driving around at work.. and none of the customers have called me to say the engines have failed. I stand by P.A.I.
  11. I think Mack synchro failures are because the range clutch is so big, it has 14 clutch discs and friction discs plus a thrust washer and a large sliding clutch, that if the range cylinder is at all dragging it causes the clutching teeth to start chipping and then they just dont engage good. I would like to see an air water filter before the tranny air lines to keep water out of the range cylinders. Also, many do not removed the rear range cylinder and clean and re-lube it annually.

  14. Thats cool stuff guys. Wish i had experience with mining machines, always been impressed by those giants..
  15. Cool picture. Is that a knuckle head, what year...? My oldest Harley is my '99 Sportster. I have 3 total.
  16. We used the "homemade" part of it to destroy this thread.. personally.... I like the hijacked version better..
  17. 3 load straps and a tarp.. Yeah thats good enough to hold this locomotive.. I love it. I have been holding back a thought ive had for years. Not to offend but to shed light. Here in the U.S. we have become wimpy when it comes to getting a job done. Too many rules put in place as substitutes for common sense, and too many hungry lawyers looking for top dollar in law suits. I will be going through an assortment of safety trainings with my city this spring and i know half of it is B.S. Just CYA crap. I know that if I was to put on all the gear for confined spaces entry, i would not be able to fit through the hole in some cases, and also my visibility is compromised because i cant see my perifrial's. Anyway.. im likin the videos
  18. That video is impressive. They are ber smart and resourcefull. Thanks JC.
  19. Well, since im living in my recliner for the next month, i may just take a look .
