  2. You may find a CL with the E-9..  R's and RD's didnt come with them,  Welcome to the Dog Pound.  Jojo

  3. Yeah..... I will Keep my KB.. You crack me up TJC... I am curious where he is in N.C.
  4. I guess Bidenomics is working... I'm watching the Pat's/ Cowboy's game.. Ford has an ad showing the ''All Electric F-150, back feeding the big a$$ house during an outage.. And the lights came on.... OHhhh Boy!! lights??? Good luck turning anything else on, and what if you have to drive your one vehicle to the store,, then what?? I swear the people who write Ad's,,, have NEVER been without, and dont even know what calloused hands are.. TOO FUNNY...
  5. there sure is a lot of nice lookin' rigs.....
  6. Thanks, I agree.. I should buy more parts to put on the shelf.. I have a top end kit for a 4cyl. Studabaker.. however I dont have a Studabaker..
  7. Geoff,, I thank you for that.. I would like to give you 'first refusal'.. My engine runs strong and only weeps a little oil on the left side in little spots. Go get 'em !!
  8. TJC ?? You do know that 'Today's' paint scheme is a Rainbow... Nahhhhh... Just kidding.. Light Green it is.....
  9. I'm leaning towards a light green. Im not a pro painter, but i will prime it and carefully spray paint it with enamel paint. For now, I will paint the intake and exhaust with flat wood stove paint. I'm really glad I have a blasting cabinet now.. It is going to help me do really clean work..
  10. Geoff,, I was thinking about painting the engine block Green, or even a redish/orange. the brackets will be black, and the air cleaner black and silver.. What is the original engine color? Mine is both green and orange-ish.. Jojo
  11. For sure... I'd hate to be in a dump truck when they are that worn.. Just sayin....
  12. Thanks again Geoff.. For now, I will leave the manifolds alone. I tried to find the gaskets but not sure if I found the right ones. they dont leak right now, but may start too when i drive it and get it heated up. I already plan to make my own gaskets. I have made many, and I have a punch kit to make clean bolt holes.
  13. As far as the wiring goes.. I did pull the harness in one piece. I have aquired a lot of new wire from my city job. It is top quality, a little heavy for the need, but will work. I was going to run it cleanly in black loom. I know it wont be ''correct'' but it will work and it will be clean and neat.. Thanks again for commenting.. Jojo
  14. it's ''Shop Talk''.. I guess most anything goes.. I'm on a roll... with ''Sanford''.. I need to try and get exh. and intake manifold gaskets.. for the 'ole Blue Diamond..
  15. one Pro. is that the threaded spring pins dont shift side to side, when worn.. pins and smooth bushings are really good too, hell they have been around forever..
  16. the thread is m10x1.50.. they are allen headed cap screws. the length is around 60mm.. Grade 10.9..
  17. I definately keep what I have, and in good repair.. My home made 1 ton does a good job for me. It has a 4-bolt 350, 4bbl.. I took the TH-350 out years ago, and put a 'granny gear' 4spd. in it.. I got a set of pedals and linkage from E-Bay. I dont take it on long trips, but when I need a work truck, I have one.. I do have a 4-bolt 400 c.i.d. in a tote, if I need to get more power.. Who know's??? When Bidenomics finishes killing the popularity of gas and diesel engine powered cars and trucks, the cost for parts to re-build a Small Block Chevy might come down to $200.00 again..
  18. Thanks Geoff.. it is .... yes there is some rust on the underside, but, the truck is solid.. I just pulled the wire harness out. it was rough. No sweat.. I will make a new one.. I decided to go ahead and make it a 12volt system.. Neg ground.. My goal is to get it road worthy, then 'show it'.. I expect to get parts and info over time, and add them to the truck as well.. It does run good, and I got the brakes fixed. I'm also stripping the out side of the engine, and making new gaskets, sand blasting the parts and painting them. I dont have the money to do a top notch job, similar to Matt's, B-73.. But I am proud of what I have.. Thanks again for the info you gave me a few months ago. I saved it.. Jojo
  19. I had A chance to do some more work on My '48 Int. KB-7 today.. I'm waiting on parts for the 2 engines in my shop, so I made it a ''Me Day''.. These pictures are brought to in part by....... ''Kroil'' The best damn penetrating oil, since WD-40.. also brought to you by my AWESOME WIFE !! she helped me carry the fenders.. She's in the background with our pup's.. Now I can reach in there and Git 'r' done..
