  1. Ok. That switch can cause issues. Leave it unplugged for now. Do your head light wires still run behind the oil filters? If so, look at 'P' clamps to see if thy are cutting into the wires, as well as rubbing the block, also, check where the go around the steering box for wear.

  7. If you need a graph for your engine, like the sample. Post the year and if its V-Mac, and I will post the chart...
  8. All good. But now i have to ask..... Im guessing you either ran the valves using an overlap method, or you were up on #6, but started adjusting on #1?? Or mabey you rotated the engine the wrong way.... Or.. you didnt adjusted the front valves to .024" and the rear valves to .016" ok Your turn... 🤔🍻

  10. Ok. So it has the 9/16" or 14 mm bolt for an adjuster? The one you have to push in and turn with the clutch held down..
  11. All that paint is a issue.. is the clutch a rockwell diaphragm clutch?
  12. yes. lining the threads up is odd. dont know why..
  13. You gotta punch holes in the bottom of the filters and let them drain while you do something else for a few minutes.. 😉
  14. As far as replacement engines a few years from now..... I may have the answer. I may be receiving some core engines to rebuild.. Just waiting for my Buddy to get back to me.. 👍

  16. The second time the MP-8 lays down on you because of exhaust or injector cup issues, you will wish you never had this idea... I will never change my opinion about this engine. It is a good engine but all the govt. Crap bolted to it will always be a problem... You have a CL -713... And your happy.. quit while your ahead... Ok.... Now its time for other opinions....
  17. Yep they sure are.. im just glad that i saw this coming 4 years ago, and fortified myself... Hopefully others did the same.
  18. I too have done it the way G.W. has described. Id like to add 1 thing.. I use the 1'' line and not the loosY-goosY thing on the end of the tape measure. just keep in mind you are 1'' short.. I find it to be quite accurate.. It helps to have a freind with good eyes and a steady hand..
