  1. I'm no genious, but the back half doesnt look like Mack to me... and if the shift knob represents the tranny.. it's too new to be in that truck. the frame splice looks nice but there are no pics of the inside of the frame rail's... Parade truck??? jojo
  2. Well, it is great to hear that you have the funds to build this truck, the way you want it.. Good luck, and I bet it will be great truck.. A friend of mine has one for sale but I cant afford the $15,000.00 price tag.. I like his because its all there and solid.. E-7/ Allison 5 or 6 spd.. i forgot.. it would be a heck of a camper puller... jojo
  3. any chance the radiator has the hole in it for a front drive PTO? just curios?
  4. yes sir.. thanks...
  5. The 'Illegal' should never have been here in the first place... Maybe do some "Contact tracing" as they say... and start handing out laws suits from the beginning. My guess, is start with President Harris, and work thier way down to the driver.. Jojo's fantasy idea...
  6. Hello, so the ASET-I is the better engine of the 2 because of the reduced amount of junk bolted to it.. A well maintained A-I will give you good service with out EGR and Turbo issues.. Glad it has an Allison, It will be an agile little truck, and probably perfect for small loads, especially if you are doing deliveries to home owners. For example, landscape materials supplier.. Just my opinion.. jojo
  7. Well, I guess i'm not nut's.. Thank,s to all of you.. Too bad I didn't get the "Ron Jeremy" symptom.. Sure would help my wife with her ' natural born' mood swings.. I dont attribute it to age, because I am only 52, and was doing fine before, I got sick. Thanks again, I hope more posts come along. This is the only source of info that I trust, on this topic, and a few others.. Thank's to BMT... jojo
  8. Hello again... so its Dec. 17/2021... I had the Kung Flu during the whole month of march/2021.. The reason I'm here again is because I believe I still have effects/damage from the virus. Over the last 9 months, I have been weak, slow, sick at times for no reason, (even today). I have issues with concentration at times, and sometimes get lost for words during conversations. I am 52. I have always been strong and able, but after this last 9 months, I'm different.. I guess I opened this back up because I'm curious about other experiences. I don't have health ins. so going to the doctor is out... Thank you, Jojo
  9. disc's?
  10. I bet... were im at... 1 inch of snow dissables the whole f'n area... .. merry christmas..
  11. good deal .... How's thing in "Vacationland"? I lived there for 23 years... jojo
  12. burnt coolant?
  13. Jesus Christ!!! So F'n true
  14. OK... in my opinion, I know these engines... If it is an ASET CEGR... run away, run very far away!!!! the ASET IEGR's are a bit better... however.. they have ceramic lifter rollers and I hate them... and you will too when you have to do a cam job, for the dumbest reason that a real engine would have survived from... Jojo... I have more opinions on this....
  15. so cool... i'm just getting a kick out of this.. cool story Brocky.. jojo
  16. hell yeah.. it dont take much out, to be crappy.... You know,... jojo
  17. start simple first... My guess is a loose/crossed wire... it only takes 1 strand of wire to 'F' it up... jojo
  18. pull the socket out of the trailer and look for the same thing there... they shake loose and this happens... jojo
  19. take the trailer cord plugs apart and look for a loose wire or frayed wire ends that have reached over and crossed up with another... or.... find a known good cord from another truck and swap it to see if its still an issue... jojo
  20. awesome !!!!
  21. well, that makes it even easier.. jojo
  22. ok.. you have an E-7... the exk on them was .028" the engine brake is set based on the turbo you have.. widen the picture so we can see the whole plate and get the number off the turbo tag.. probably an S400 SO41 schwitzer.... jojo
  23. I was told that Vegas wasnt built buy winners.. know what I mean? I went there once. I had $2000.00 to throw away.. I came home with $1000.00 of it.. I felt lucky.. It was fun, but looking back It was scary as well... Glad I didnt get 'Hooked on it'... jojo
  24. i forgot about hot rivets..
  25. I have only ever done fresh rail replacements... but I dont see why you couldnt reuse the rails if they are cleaned up and strong.. (based on your opinion) so I would use 'body bound bolts' unless you have a Huck bolt machine and the Huck bolts.. I expect more comments on this from the many smart guy's here.. I have no problem using bolts to put it back together... thats how trucks were built since day one.. jojo
