Glaf you liked them, they are actually sunrise, but no matter it is  pretty special to see such beautiful sunrises or sunsets

I think they only occur in the big flat open country, I never seen them in the mountains

  2. Holy Crap!!!! You Guys Just posted some real S#!T !!!! I just read back a bunch of post's.... and Hell Yeah!!! you guys post what I think everyday... I go to buy groceries, and see so much B.S...... .I was always told, to not judge a book by it's cover.... B.S.! it's very easy to judge now.......Thanks Barrack? and now we have you're Monkey... jojo
  3. to me... a slight vibration on this engine, can be many things... what other things were done to the truck recently? I could ask a bunch of questions, but the list would be long... check the obvious things like loose bolts on the fan, , alt., a/c comp. a sloppy fan clutch, Take the belts off and run it a bit and see if it still vibrates.... if it does, look at the clutch bolts through the inspection hole in the bell housing for an issue... Does it stumble when you rev it up? Like I said... lot's of Q's...there is an S-Load of smart people here.... we'll get it..jojo
  4. well, he just armed the Taliban with our great equiptment.... whats next? a bridge from, there. to here?? it blows my mind, how any, "real" American could allow and support the destruction of our great nation..... I'm lost..... Jojo
  5. Yes.... I was taught this procedure years ago by a 65 year old grumpy, MF'r.... Take the belt off the engine, by-pass the water lines for the air compressor, pull the top radiator pipe off, remove the thermostat, and put the housing back on, leave the short hose on top of the thermostat housing, fill the cooling system til' the water is at the top of the thermo housung,... which leaves 4-6 inches of hose sticking up off of the thermo housing , which will give room to watch the water perculate, like a coffee pot, pretty quickly if there is a head/gasket issue....you can let it run for 30 minutes or more at idle without overheating it. and just watch for bubbles in the top rad. hose... compression leaks will show up early.. i did chase a series 60 detroit that took a long run time before proving there was a head issue. I diagnosed it, but did not repair it... anyway, Good luck..... jojo
  6. When you replaced the water pump. Did you inspect the housing on the front of the engine for pitting/cavitation?.... This can cause air into the system, which can cause excessive pressure and push coolant.. However, I'm still curious about an issue with compression leaking into the cooling system. "V" has touched on this... jojo
  7. I don't go to sites that I don't belong in... not a big deal..... I also don't go to Gay bars.... Why????? because they are not my type.... It's simple math, and nobody needs to dislike the other.... just go somewhere else, no-harm-no-foul... Jojo
  8. Nice try..... Those of us that work and pay for Buttheads to live for free, disagree.. jojo
  9. ok, I am not familiar with Austrailian Macks. Here in the U.S. a 2005 is an ASET... Yes, 10 PSI is correct for an E-Tech.. Im sorry I didnt have the answer for you. Good luck.... Jojo
  10. 16 psi. should be correct for the cap... jojo
  11. SB215025, is a service buliten that may be what you are looking for,,, Make sure that it applies to you, since you are in Australia... Jojo
  12. Here in N.C. theres an add for jobs in the medical insurance field that clearly says they need english and spanish speakers, and will train to certify them as agents.. no experience neccassary....... Hell, why the hell do i fix trucks... I speak a bit of spanish, and a little bit of American too.... I may just check this out. I will post more as I get the truth out of this.... Jojo
  13. The air starter on this truck should have the same bolt pattern as a 42 MT Delco starter.. I suggest using a 39 MT because its lighter and has gear reduction and will crank with weak batteries.. the air starter should be an Ingersoll Rand tire gun without the long anvil.... so to make the conversion. you could attach a battery tray, and (2-3) 925 amp. group 31 batts. and a simple push button start system, and rock-and-roll... jojo
  14. the EECU would need to be re-programmed...too bad we cant just add a little exhaust pipe to the EGR pipe and let it leave like the big exhaust pipe... Crazy thinking by me.... jojo
  15. No Ether..... Check fuse 40 in the EPDM next to the steering column under the hood. If its good, take a good 12volt battery and connect the ground post to ground on the engine. and make a little jumper wire to force 12v to fuse 40 and see if it starts. If it starts up, replace the starter. Jojo
  16. if you have an Ambach pump, they have a controller with a diode, I think on the firewall.... Did you run a hot wire with an aligator clip to the posts on the heads just to see if they work? Robert Bosch pumps have micro switches.... and no diode... (Glenn,) correct me if im wrong...
  17. it may have an electronic control on the back side of the injection pump...(governor housing) easy to see., a round gray plug.. the 400 has a great power curve, and can pull anything that the other (non MACK) trucks can pull. That engine is the last of the Million Mile Engines..... with the exception of a well maintained E-Tech ......which came after that one... jojo
  18. run time on an un-cooled compressor is short, before damage happens, however, youre post tells me that you have some good knowledge, and you will be cautious doing this test.... looking forward for the cure being posted.... jojo
  19. I was so upset, I left off 2 'Zero's' Sorry... jojo
  20. so they know who's not vaccinated in the U.S.,, around 90,000 is what I heard, but they didnt vaccinate the Arab's they flew here, and the border jumpers in the deep south, but If I am not vaccinated .... I can't get on a plane or eat a good meal, or whatever...... ... Please ... correct me if i'm wrong.... I have many issues with this, as do, you!!! this is bigger than I can understand... do I need to Armor one of my trucks and fortify it with stout guns??? Why the hell am I thinking this way?? I'm No wimp, but WTF?
  21. There is usually one on the firewall, left of the steering column. its flat looking with a round shape to it and the trailer lines go through it... if not....look at the back of the cab where the trailer lines hook up, for a roundish, 4 inch'ish long valve with one end looking like an air governor. if you have this valve there, then you found it. .. Why I cant tell you exactly, just blows my mind.... I dont ever mess with 'em...jojo
  22. you can also use a jumper wire from a power source like the alt. pos. wire, and touch the post on the head and listen for a click sound, just to add to the diag... jojo
  23. You can pull the wire off the post at the head, and put a test light on the wire and ground it to the engine. no need to drive it or even run the engine, just turn the switch on and the light should light, with the key on. you can run the engine if you like, and rev it up and let off and watch the light, if it lights on each post then the issue is likely under the valve cover... jojo
  24. Crazy how N.Y. is requireing proof of vaccination, with an I.D.... But no I.D. to vote.... Jojo
  25. 2 of my favorite Mack's, and The CS midliner is a damn good truck... I wish part's were easier to get here in the states. I could make half a living fixing the ones in my area.. Thanks for the cool picture... jojo
