  1. I don't do the political band wagon ; BUT 4 times bankruptcy declaration has other benefits {on Paper}. I do believe one or more of the bankrupt moments was during a divorce, based on actual observation and reason I moved; my two landlords are in divorce process= which by way was brought on by his two daughters. short version === daughters moved all daddy's assets very discreetly ( over 650 K plus condo ) so daddy was bankrupt ON PAPER. leaving step mom with zero.
  2. imagine if Pres trump lives long enough to straighten this corrupt country out ; our kids /grandkids might live in a country with a balanced budget ; NOT a country having a debt of $ ---- TRILLIONS . and possibly be a world leader (not ruler) again not the present day laughing stock of the world.
  3. towed in a R-685st from a large company which ran backwards. newer truck at the time. driver was backing up to a loading ramp which was on a slight downward incline. low idle and the bump against the dock = backwards running. oil bath air cleaner -mess on right side from compression going out air cleaner; some smoke etc Mack told company brass ::: engine "blew up" . engine job done . have witnessed a Mack engine run away in a F model. didn't know to run away or assist in shutting it down. vise grip fuel line . Detroit run away another story. try climbing on top of a screaming 318 to reach emergency flapper; which was froze. engine shut itself down after all the rockers broke.
  4. I don't use an umbrella in the rain ; and certainly NOTHING goes in my mouth that starts with COCKtail ,, just sayin. other than that I've been told I'm off more than a little. LOL NO fruits in my Yukon nor my Kentucky coffee whiskey.
  5. now who's spreading rumors !!! I AM STRAIGHT:::LOL skip the glass drink direct from bottle also has been done (numerous times)
  6. all we can hope for is they let Trump live long enough to do good for this country . A LOT of toes are being stepped on and so many are going to loose their good thing. have to wonder what the actual cost of things such as the new 50 BILLION dollar submarine would be taking away all the pocket filling and so much more.
  7. my "cough" got sooo bad I've already gone through a bottle of Yukon 125 proof! tall glass: few ice cubes: yukon mix with quality cranberry juice and just a slash of tomatoe juice.
  8. less 🍺;;more Yukon Jack🍷;; few calories . LOL
  9. ISSPRO is a name from the past waking the memory cells. just don't ask why. did a fleet change over to tachograph speedos/charts; don't recall them isspro. the isspro had regular speedo head with the flip switches.
  10. at first thought I remembered that service bulletin , after enlarging and seeing 2005;; heck that' a new bulletin.!!!LOL it's another "hey I was there when these electronic things first appeared. big question then was " how do they make a speedo work with only wires and not a cable. I was the dipwit moving the dip switches
  11. this reminds me of sign at trailer shop I was at last week picking up parts; "lack of accurate information will result in lack of accurate reply" just sayin.
  12. another forgotten fleet from the past;; DM800 (300plus ?) looking at the twist on rear wheels; have to wonder if it's stuck . third axle (non-drive) in front of tandems it's a pusher axle ; behind drives it's a tag axle ??? or do I have it backwards?? yes it is different.
  13. funny You posted 448. tall guy he used to manage his lunch breaks next to baskin robbins driveway (when I was employed there) and I would bring him ice cream .LOL another part of the fun days. such a beautiful majestic looking piece of equipment. the looks of which to me was better then the Hi-Ho green
  14. the fun of taking the John Wanamaker and converting to an RV.
  15. oh the fun days of trucking. twin steer A car real interesting. knew there had to be more then just Mack twin steer. sure would like to watch todays "youngster operators" behind the controls of that northwest cable shovel. joy stick controls/ AC enclosed cab ??? had a customer which owned a bay city cable shovel, watched in total disbelief as his hands/ feet moved with such speed and accuracy to hit right pedal/ lever to work the boom. wrong move and 100ft cable all over the place. he's also the one told story of the days driving to NY from CT with his white tractor/trailer having candles on the dash for defrosting window. a generation well missed and NEVER duplicated.
  16. Seems to me this area should have more membership support to give a "THANK YOU" to the founder. !!!
  17. now you be careful of that "OLD" Mack calendar stuff!!!!!! that calendar was NEW in my time .🤣🤣🤣 LMAO
  18. 24 volts was in reference to start system .
  19. either no one is paying attention (law enforcement) , or twins don't earn their keep. more basic triaxles run here now then twin steer. possibly a custom use truck will have a different configuration (wrecker) , no new twin steer that I have seen hauling dirt. don't recall Pete or KW entering the twin steer dumps now or then.
  20. sadly it took the deaths of 67 innocent people for the story to appear how the rotten politicians want 5 more flights out of the most traveled /busiest airport so it's convenient for them to go home after wasting time on how to spend taxpayers money. more then likely the 5 extra flights will appear.
  21. I've noticed O&G reusing old fleet numbers. back then I prepped O&G 356- 376 triaxles (Mack DM600's).twin drives were numbered in the 400 series (448 etc ). now newer units run same numbers- last 3 digits at least. will credit O&G for being innovators in trucking; seemed to always be first trying new ideas::: tri-axles/ twin steer/ the pup tag along dumps. Mack could have done so well if only for a calendar, pete/ KW have the lead now.
  22. also the "locals" have heard the story =true or not of the calendar produced by Mack which showed the Hi-Ho twin axle and not the O&G twin drive. of which both companies purchased 20 + - each .
  23. quite right !😄.I remember them well ; along with the gold O&G fleet.
  24. B 61 Mack wrecker at waterbury Mack was uni-shift ; don't remember it being electronic ?? seems this R has a two-speed button (electronic) for uni-shift
