  1. If it's the one I'm thinking (also 1 I have in inventory) it's a blue LN box -on cover , straight truck
  2. days of ole there was also a situation with the air bag itself leaking. not always the line to but also the ole bag itself. married men know about the ole bag full of air .
  3. back in the day; the fan was engineered to be in locked (on ) mode with AC. with fan off during AC operation engine could go into overheat situation. another nice item of days of old with roof mount AC units;; they were totally separate from engine operation. todays units having condenser in front of radiator along with intercooler and whatever else ;; the fan is set to stay on with AC. NOTE: this info based on old school.
  4. bought my Hino new in '93, best little workhorse ever. checked out the ford F-450 (?) . compared the hino to isuzu ; UD; of the day .Hino few $ more but worth it. 4 cyl with exhaust brake which worked well. cabovers way better than ford/ GMC . turning radius ; length . had a custom built flat bed dump made for it. chassis sat in my garage for a yr brand new waiting for me to build it. everyone else's iron came first; mine sat. sent it to Bobby Worden = excellent welder/ fabricator. difference from Hino vs my '77 F-350flatbed ;;; the ford was PTO hyd dump. Hino I went with electric over hyd dump.
  5. but it also depends on the ratio of mixture. coke is for "color" . I agree NEVER ruin Yukon. especially the 125proof bottle.

  9. NOW you are talking some good stuff. Art bell ; later George Norwiee ;I listened to coast to coast am for long time ;;many times driving up I 95 from NJ to CT middle of the night . very interesting for the common folk radio show.
  10. those with common sense seem to be shoved under the carpet (as was a saying back in those days)
  11. NO REASON FOR EMBARRASSMENT if society didn't complicate things so horribly wrong "" life would be as in olden days ::: simplified
  12. just for the sake of conversation :::: motors are electric ;;; diesels are engines. !!!!
  13. GUESS WE ALL SHOULD HAVE TAKEN MORE NOTES< such a complicated world we live in.
  14. after I left baskin robbins. I heard they went to electronic logs. NO way would that work for me at the time. having the NJ run in days before GPS/ cell phones ; going out with 15=19 stops out of 32=35 0n route . it was always 16 + hr days. didn't have the smarts to run 2 logs like some others. it was down and back to ct before the George Washinton bridge morning rush. on occasion had to do lay overs in NJ if certain stops not done by midnight. had to show sleeping in motel when actually slept in truck (day cab). run was a thurs- sat on paper. only scale house then was at CT/NY line. was fun for a while.
  15. on a shelf to which wife not happy ??? better secure it to well to shelf !! don't want to hear all that hard work building gone due to it "accidently " falling off shelf ;; amazing it happened when you weren't there ???😨

  22. Mr. Moffo Jr like his Father is a brilliant man .honored to have known him. Sr was also a Waterbury policeman ,. each generation before doesn't always realize what life was like before. seems I've grown in a generation having seen before and present day,! maybe why I'm SO grumpy. times were good but you worked for what you had. THANK YOU BMT for being part of an old man life.
  23. 🤣🤣. the "boomer "generation had it the best !! before us the people worked SO hard to make ends meet. after "US" no one seems to care. main interest is having the newest phone, recently granddaughter ( 16/17) made a comment at the table after being "accused "of doing 80 plus mph on I-95 "that's my playground" . if only I could have slapped her.!! i've seen dead on the road, have carried injured from car wrecks.!! "PLAYGROUND" WTF
  24. 56 !!! toooo much math for me to figure when I was that young =56 LOL . I make it to mid may think I'll be 74. best part of those years were spent under hoods of Mack B-75's and 81's.
  25. twin stack; B Mack with 866 in the rack. that must have one heck of nice sound when fuel down. if I could only remember 1/2 of what Mack engineers did to the 866 during tear down inspect while I was at waterbury Mack and new style FL700 with 866 was in test mode.
