  1. lexington and Yorktown ;; so many lives lost. sadly little know . the Japanese used cargo ships to move American P O W's . 1500 Americans were in the bottom of the cargo ships when they were sunk in an attempt to what was thought to be food supplies going to support the Japanese.
  2. under different situations on my end; i'd gladly drive there and be a free assistant . just for the fun of building again. at this point i'm very Leary of driving lately.
  3. not a matter of them paying a higher rate , customers will be paying a little bit more but getting alot more from jojo then paying a dealership and getting a less knowledgeable personal at a higher rate..
  4. for yrs people asked why i didn't go in business for myself . nope; steady check and benefits were number one. $$$ from side work helped . i was only "stiffed" by one customer. going customer rate at the dealer then was $10.00 an hr . i was side work $ 5.00 per hr. cat now is 180.oo-200.oo per! boy have times changed.. best of luck jojo and others.
  5. I missed the part of front wheels; sorry. i'm thinking rear with stud holes. fronts are easier. shouldn't be quite as difficult to find or adapt a set.
  6. any pictures or tire/wheel sizes. i HAD 50-60 two wheel garden tractors up till auction 2011 . i know one of the tractor buyers; don't know if he still has them or parts . tractors from the '20's- newest was a 1949
  7. hopefully "Mr Brockway" on this forum will join in with his knowledge. picture looks like truck still running the older style cab, not the mack cab. don't remember the change-over yr.
  8. make one heck of a RV with camper body on back . ugly duck for sure; till you stare at it for a while. ugly becomes different for sure.
  9. nice looking brockway. the brockway had the same class act appearance as the Mack B-75 series.
  10. THANK YOU for your service Sir
  11. picture perfect; the tattoos just ruined the picture ( my thoughts only) one - two maybe ,now if she can drive it also ;;i'm sold.
  12. wait till she turns around then . OH polish i'm thinking Polish LOL , wife checked it out ; doesn't see connection between pictures and mack trucks. i reassured her :: the phrase "built like a Mack truck " .. really stacked and fine chassis
  13. do what ever time; interest and $$$$ allow. either way in a round about way you will be saving history or rat rod will spark an interest in some one else seeing it to find more history to save.
  14. my Father went and signed up; my grandfather had him pulled out =he was needed on the farm . three uncles were already enlisted. two of which were badly scared by sharpnel ; one received purple Heart =survived as a P O W . don't think there would be too many older generation that would deal with this mess. tragic for them was the beatles and long hair.
  15. same story here. the land my uncle owned in center of small farm town that as kids we walked and camped on was sold to developer who now has major mall with stores and still developing, SO SAD
  16. after all the parades; hot dogs and hamburgers ; a moment taken for remembrance of those who gave us the opportunity for celebration. NOT from todays cluster f--k world . days gone by. not dismissing ALL veterans ; memorial day for glancing at the 300K + white crosses at Arlington and else where. THANK YOU to ALL . remember the doughboys back then are the ones who coined the phrase that ac mack looks like a bulldog . who knows what would have been on the hood today.
  17. broken clamp, cracked hose air system. higher gears possibly due to engine under load. idle- pressures aren't high enough.
  18. they must be the new technology style emergency boat floatation devices ☺️

  20. not only is it turning out to be a work of art; the fact you are doing it to a B73/L cab makes it even more impressive. B73/75 grilles just have "the look" . excellent job . looking forward to the day of seeing it close up
  21. black and white TV, with all the shoot outs that took place on the westerns then we never considered it as violence unlike today. less us not forget the comedy shows, they were funny. adlibs and no four letter words. Red Skelton is the best. with memorial day approaching; listen to Red Skelton reciting the Pledge of Allegiance
  22. when the picture is that perfect; consider an attitude may go with it.. "i got it you want it,don't touch" .. now if she can weld !!!! . jeans/tee shirt 😊
  23. worse then the lost dentures ; it the loss of "where's the manual "; what am i suppose to do " . younger days it was called what wet dreams are made of . in the "golden yrs" the wet dreams are solved by depends LOL 😁 nice Mack
  24. even in the day brand new they were costly compared to other toys. i had a B tandem with custom built chrome tanker. chassis was yellow/green. had chance to buy two of them. $1500.oo for two back then was alot of $$$ for young guy raising a family. sure wish i bought them both today.
  25. found them; but can they drive a mack..LOL personal opinion only. i like a good chassis in jeans, white tee ;long dark hair under baseball hat riding on back seat of a harley. on the bike usually has a great personality also.just sayin
