  3. Yeah ! they will save so much fuel we won't be buying enough so they can raise the price more They really need more pollution crap on them I work on em everyday hardly keep them running now ! oops gotta wait for regen ! Be about a hour before I can get you the gravel to fix the road. That irritates me when I run grader waiting on trucks .
  4. Fiat powered! 8 speed zf Interesting to see how Long they last.
  5. looks like my Sa 200 old faithful more reliable than my weldanpower 250 D10
  6. my opinion is that your truck will mean more to you someday than it does now. you restored it with your dad. the mack will still be there even when your dad is gone. I am going through that right now my uncle and I started on my B model 5 years ago and he now has Alzhiemers and doesn't remember the fun we had working on it at all. so I am learning as I go finishing it alone as he watches from his chair. so my truck will stay until I am in the ground just for the memories
  7. I would keep it! you will regret it if you don't it is a nice truck you did yourself nice advertisement for your new buisness hope you keep it . god luck on new venture
  8. yeah ! that truck doesn't look bad. no one seems to buy it must be the price. it has been listed a couple times
  9. hi! Welcome to the forum I love old b models as well as anyone. you could consider any old truck a money pit unless you buy one someone else has put all the money into but then you have to settle for what someone else liked as far as color choice and such and spend a small fortune to purchase the truck. so it is a toss up spend it now or spend it later they are fun to restore but thre we go agian tools tools tools. cab rust is a big issue rust around windows, door bottoms, cab floors ,rear panel and corners of cab but they are made of fairly thick material so they can be fixed watch for rust between frame rails on double frame trucks. it will spread the rails. main thing is look for the best truck you can afford and go from there. brake parts are available from napa or our friends at watts mack have fun . mine looked beter than it actually was there are pictures in my gallery 5 years and still working on it one dime at a time. Steve
  10. I Bought a millermatic 211 mvp it is fairly portable and it runs on 115 or 220 volt will weld 3/16on 115volt one pass and up to 3/8 on 220volt . I use it alot but it was not real cheap around 900.00 on sale around 1100.00 full price it weighs around 80 lbs. so far I like it . a friend of mine bought a cheap one at TSc. We were both less than impressed he did not have it long 115volt farm hand or job smart I don't remember now what it was . the smaller hobart 140 work's well for up to 3/16 they are around 450.00 made by miller work bought one we used it lots trouble free. Steve

  17. Yes that certain one will ! kinda get in the way. You gotta find one with simmilar interest shakes her head and still lets you buy mack parts. My wife bought me my B model with my, I mean our money she even likes going to truck shows 4 hrs from home. Steve
  18. Yeah! I know the feeling I plow for town highway. poeple are ungrateful for sure. it is nice when I get my route plowed and sanded and then every jerk with a pickup and plow pushes it out into the road and leaves it there. no different in the summer when I am running the grader on our 60 miles of gravel roads. they pull up behind me and blow the horn and give us the middle finger . I have been threatened to have my ass kicked for being in the way. but if I pick up the blade for every car I would never get the road graded. it is hard not to retaliate! Steve
  19. Probably to far gone to buy it for a grand and resell for 8-10 . Keep looking someone may give you one for free . But in my neck of the woods them days are gone.
