  1. at the old job i saw that 4 times out of 15 trucks in 3 years. all caused by drivers not lifting the axle when making turns. they also would loose tires off the lift axles every 3-4 months due to snapped wheel studs from not lifting on turns too.
  2. not to worry about that, if Vlad did take offense to the hildabeast, he would just send his uncle Demetri to break her
  3. check the ground wire going into the plug. on my old 05 the wire was bad. once i re soldered it to the pin everything started working again.
  4. back in the early 90's we had a superliner that had a three stick setup. originally a V8 truck, it was converted to six cylinder 350hp after the V8 blew up. it had the standard "mud stick" setup, 5 speed main, and low/direct second stick. then a third stick for deep reduction.
  5. i agree. run non ethanol if you can, and make sure you always run the carb dry after use.
  6. sounds like my 66 7 Litre 4 speed convertible. idles at 15 MPH in first gear. it also will smoke the tires when power shifting into 4th at 110. fastest i had it was 168, but it had room to go faster.
  7. in 77 i had a 66 chevelle with a 250 and M22 trans and 4.10 posi rear.. 3 two barrels, hot cam, and headers on it. used to run consistent 13.3 second quarter miles on wide street tires. ended up trading it for a 64 bananacuda with a 273/275 hp and 4 speed.....that i snapped the crank on 6 months later and lost control of and wrecked when the flywheel took off and riped out the brake lines at 80 MPH.
  8. the 6 volt starter will work on 12 volts for a few starts, but will eventually burn out.
  9. the one pictured has a 63 grill in it. could be a 63, or an older one with the 63 grill pit in.
  10. correct. positive lead of the pump goes to ground.
  11. about the same size. the 575 has a slightly larger blade and ripper, but less HP and weighs less.
  12. also used for placing christmas tree on top of ranch houses when the framing is done to signify "topping out"
  13. when "those older diesels" were made, diesel had a cetane rating around 62. these days you are lucky to see 40 cetane diesel.
  14. i add nothing in the summer, and will only put howes in if it gets real cold. i have 495,000 miles on my 88 7.3, and 195 on my 02 7.3. the mack and cat engines currently have around 300,000 miles on them.
  15. 4-2 is for the fan clutch
  16. i had something similar on a 1999 400hp engine, and it was the fuel pump on the passenger side front of the engine.
  17. hell, i pay my guys $20 per hour to take care of my pickups.

  19. you have to click on the link to open the pictures.
  20. 350 7 speed is going to be a dog with 80k lbs and hills. i ran a 400 8 speed for a while and it was a lot of down shifting when hills were seen.
  21. i had a 79 DM800 with a 237 in it. that truck would pull all day long, and never feel anything once the 10 speed was swapped into it. with the aluminum dump body, i would haul 22 ton and keep up with 400 hp R models
  22. it would be so nice if commifornia would just break off of the country in one of the earthquakes and take all their idiots with it into the ocean.
  23. welllllll i could tell you, but then they would probably kill me.
  24. mediocre??? i have seen you called many things, but never a mediocre driver. comparing you to a mediocre driver is an insult to the mediocre drivers!!!
