wow!! i just filled up this am at $3.57 per gallon for regular. i was going to stop friday but there was a very long line....friday regular was $3.19

my Granite use dot do that too..... until it snapped a connecting rod in the compressor and punched a two inch hole in the side of the compressor directly opposite the oil tube pumping 4 gallons out of the engine. -

unless the gearing was changed, those rigs only had a top speed of around 40 MPH. they were used for hauling VERY HEAVY loads in the landfills themselves, and never saw use on public roads

R model high beam issue

unplug the switch and inspect the plug and contacts for corrosion. than with a jumper wire go from center terminal to each side. center should be hot, and the sides should be low and high. this test will check the wiring. but yes, i would replace the switch because that is the weak part of the system. sometimes you need to replace the switch and pigtail too. -

i do not have air leaks Bob. when these trucks were brand new they would not hold air. the tandem would loose 10 psi per minute.... the triaxle was only around 5 psi per minute. i refused delivery until ALL air leaks were fixed. they can now sit for 7 days and only loose less than 5 pounds air pressure.

i do not pay attention to any gauges but the speedometer while driving. i usually don't even look at gauges when stopped. if anything happens the computer will let me know there is an issue with warning buzzers.
