  1. Too bad the engine and stuff from the rusty one couldn't go in the red and white one......... or could it 🤔
  2. We have a Big boy here in Scranton (non operational)
  3. It takes a few minutes to sink in that when that was made, there were no mig welders, no CNC machines, and likely no where near the safety equipment for the men who made them. That's not to mention what the engineer needed to know to get that roll'n. Literally awesome.
  4. Miss'n a ground somewhere
  5. Give'm a break.....takes a big man to own up to it (lol)
  6. (lol) well at least now it's making some sense . If it's a Jacobs (Jake Brake) there's not going to be any switch that says "exhaust brake" as mentioned by someone else here it was supposed to work with the engine brake switch . They were hot thing in that era . Only thing it ever stopped for me was the turbo's life.
  7. That's the same here. I've never had a trailer on the dumps, but I've had them registered like that.
  8. Does your truck have an engine brake ? ( Jake Brake )
  9. We're pretty girly up here 73280 and not many places let you leave over that on a tri-axle. More weight....more air
  10. I've found (with dump trucks) less air helps the ride. by less I mean like @ ten pounds and nothing under 105 on drives. A cheap tire ? They never work with less than the 120 pounds.
  11. That's a nice Cruiseliner , someone would've been proud to pilot that back when it was new.
  12. That's a Stealth Brake and it is intended to work in conjunction with the Jake. If it's removed (if it even still works) you may want to consider resetting the lash on the Jake. That exhaust brake enables it to have a larger lash than a non exhaust brake should (should ) have.
  13. When the cucumber chick is as old as the F...... he'll have the same chances then
  14. Mark T

    Top speed

Mid to upper fifties at best
  15. You're welcome. The battery powered cucumber ? I think they're supposed to help with the climate crisis ??? There's lots of talk about battery power for that.....
  16. Just click on the picture and scroll down, Took me a couple times to figure it out.
  17. Just a suggestion, but maybe there's a similar pickup that needs an engine or something with a better body and frame ? Might be easier to swap engines or running gear ? and something that doesn't run isn't worth much more than scrap at best. and speaking of better bodies.......
  18. Looks like an easy one to match the paint on too. I agree, replacing it would be easier in the long run.
  19. What a tease.....we're gonna need more pictures. Every one of those pieces in that picture are cool.
  20. Why not just buy new ones ? Here's a VIN CTP 713B 001778
  21. If you can remember these in Mack dealers and magazines (yes magazines) , does that mean you're old now ?
  22. Those caps for Mack 46s (6 hole axles) aren't the easiest to find around here. I don't even remember ever seeing stainless ones. I'm looking for them myself. (chrome or stainless)
  23. Zenon Hansen was the Diamond T guy prior to going to Mack.....and he booted the Bulldog in the ass.
  24. That's not a "voltage" light, it's an electronic malfunction light. Truck's trying to tell you it thinks something's wrong with it.....and likely NOT a voltage issue.
  25. I think Volvo is coming out with that model
