  1. It kinda looks like the same red as the tractor you drove ??
  2. That probably was a dump truck at one time.
  3. Timmy set you right up. 👍
  4. If the spring in it is that busted, it likely doesn't have much fight left in it. !!! but still gotta be careful !!!
  5. Now I feel like a pecker head (lol) Thanks for posting. It's an interesting truck, and I doubt it's only me who thinks that.
  6. This guy's a tease....he's making us wait way too long for more info and pictures of this truck
  7. vent line is all
  8. They'd make it much easier to get the weight on the steering axle if used in dump application.
  9. Congratulations , you scored a nice Superliner there.
  10. Something's fishy about that truck. Title says it's 2 axle . It really doesn't look to be in the worst of shape ??? Maybe it was a glider
  11. The truck's power divider could just be worn ?? I think on older Mack rears only the 200 series could be made with a cam and wedge type locker (like the power divider) in the center section.
  12. Wouldn't a 700 series have a Detroit or Cummins in it ? whatever it is . it does seem to have a transmission in it.
  13. 2 reasons ?? You're a Patriots fan....and you must like blue
  14. Maybe it's carpal tunnel ?
  15. That air cleaner in '73 ? Can't see anything bigger than a 237 in there. I don't think any were made with any transmission that would use that range valve 🤷🏻‍♂️
  16. Waste Management uses capped 315s on drives. I've seen lots of roll offs and packers from The City like that too.
  17. 315s on drives aren't unheard of in the waste industry.
  18. There's a shifter in it with a range valve . Little odd in a truck that vintage with that air cleaner
  19. You need a divisable load permit. Without that you'll be whatever you can bridge. 53000 ? you probably have a truck with a setback axle and 17 and a half foot body. Most of those are around a 232 or 237
  20. You need a 268" wheelbase to get a decent permit on a tri-axle
  21. "looks nice" ???? it looks like someone who has no welder or access to one (lol) let alone it's a different size rail . I'm pretty sure no one in their right mind would put an inspection sticker on that.
  22. I get the add is from a broker and all.....but somewhere, there's someone who did that to that truck. and the someone actually thinks there's nothing wrong with it . Let alone somebody probably paid for that .
  23. The rest of that truck doesn't look too bad. Why would someone do something like that.... and be proud enough to display several pictures of it ?
  24. That frame is altered ??🤔 how can you tell ? 😳
  25. Business as usual . The people who are actually responsible for allowing this will never be touched....and not the employer . I'm think'n more like mayor pete
