  1. I wonder if anyone ever attempted to put taper leaf springs in the front of a B. There's ride improvement to be found in those .
  2. I think the chimp has more brains (and ability) than some of the guys in trucks now.
  3. !!!!! CAUTION !!!!! this guy's posts are more addictive than crack
  4. Probably cause it has a Cat in it. See the plate ?
  5. Probably needs to be rebushed. Dump trailers often used Hendrickson HT 250 air suspension , they use a tri-acting bushing. What you describe is exactly what they do when those bushings need to be replaced . That bushing does the job a torque rod would perform stopping the axle from wrapping up while braking.
  6. Assuming it's an air ride ???? sounds like it needs to be bushed.
  7. Must be the plane and the car have AC that works really well
  8. Volvo T Ride was at one time the most articulate suspension available . I believe it was referred to as The Gripper ?? Seems like that and the height of the double reduction carrier is a hard setup to beat ......figuratively and literally . Problem was no one wanted to be seen driving a homely Volvo back then
  9. Not every truck has a roof vent. It'd be directly up from the shifter on the roof. Your's may not have one.
  10. It's not rotted around the roof vent , is it ? Sometimes on those if you remove the plastic out on the cowl where the wiper arms are connected to their posts you get a big surprise and discover lots of the cowl itself is missing from rust. You need to find out where the water's coming in and stop it, no matter. It may have a lot to do with the light issue
  11. Drive line vibration can also cause that code in certain situations
  12. (lol) this kid needs all the help he can get
  13. Weren't those lights black ( or green ) in those ? Same tiny bulb in twist in base. If I remember correctly, all the screws that hold the gauge panel in the dash were #27 torx then the harness plugs had the squeeze to release tabs on them ( and only go on one way )
  14. I'm gonna forward this to AOC and John Kerry
  15. I couldn't get it to play either 😞 but FYI the one with the bullnose KW is a pretty good consolation prize
  16. Thanks for the link
  17. If it works, leave it alone ( lol )
  18. That's what he's talking about. Check on top of the transmission and look for something disturbed from the reverse switch issue. The sensor's plug is likely up there. It's not impossible the speedo sensor is bad as well. On occasion, those plastic ones don't live through being touched ( like as in resetting it's depth )
  19. The sensor's plug might be close to the reverse switch's plug. Might be from touching wires there, hard to tell without being able to see it. Did you look at it ? wiggle the plug ? unplug it and plug it back in ?
  20. That's it. If they were doing anything by the reverse switch ? I'd look for something like if it's unplugged (maybe someone did it by accident and didn't plug it back in ??) or pinched or green stuff in the wires. Seems odd it would just stop working at the same time.
  21. If there's no clutch brake on a Roadranger , doesn't that make it difficult to adjust the clutch or give it way too much travel even if the bearing is close to where it should be ?
  22. That ring you described ? I can almost remember that being some kind of repair for when a spoke had a piece broken off (like from a spinning rim) I wanna say they were called Harris rings (?) guys used them instead of replacing the hub so the rims would tighten up and run somewhat true.
  23. The novelty wheel chock probably costs twice as much as when the show was planned . No wonder they're tiny
  24. Hmmm....I see (lol)
  25. He likes the Superliner.....he should pay more attention to the R Model
