  1. I'm think'n the same as you Bigdog. Couple more going oversea
  2. Dear?? hope that was auto correct
  3. I hope you find something. Could be tough in that price range. I have seen at auctions that anything with a bulldog on the hood goes for min. 5 grand. Even if it's crap. Nigeria is usually the on line bidder that takes it. Heres a link to an R model tractor, not far from Toronto. (I know its not close, just wanted to show you price) Its $ 8000.00 Canadian - converts to approximately $7250.00 US and I would call this a P.O.S. I http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-heavy-equipment-heavy-equipment-1984-Mack-R600-Tractor-W0QQAdIdZ576815970 There is deals out there, hopefully you find one……. and save another mack from going overseas.
  4. Very cool R. I Like the colour.
  5. Nice looking truck.
  6. I forgot about your beer. CHEERS !
  7. As always great pics. I like the blue sheep, its almost the same colour as my truck. You must know the "good look'n" parts of Winfall. I don't think I want to visit the same part of winfall that 41chev passed through.(still having trouble seeing) Its probably not very often you have a snow day on March 25.
  8. I think the weather has us all a little screwed. It has to get better…. Hope your painting soon.
  9. Thanks for the input.
  10. I has looking for input. I found this truck on kijji. It looks like it is in really good shape. It has a little over 180k miles. 2001 RD688 But they are asking $75000. In my mind, that is almost double what it is worth. Am I crazy, or do you think people would pay for a clean RD. Here is the link to the add http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-heavy-equipment-heavy-trucks-2001-Mack-rd-688s-dump-tandem-dump-truck-W0QQAdIdZ576383090
  11. Sorry ECD, I know your pain. I went through the same last year.
  12. Cool pics and thread, By the look of your equipment, I could guarantee that when you leave a job, not one blade of grass or speck of dirt is out of place. Keith
  13. Old man winter has not finished with us yet.
  14. We are praying for you to ECD. I know there are not many words that can ease your pain. Just know that you and Diesel are amongst friends. And stay away from H&C coffee trucks
  15. I don't think I'm the right person to evaluate a truck. I have only ever driven old, worn out trucks. So anything new to me is good. I will say the drivers station seemed very comfortable, with good visibility. Keith
  16. This Cat truck is in our local Ritchie Bros. auction. I wanted to check it out because I have never seen one up close. I added the link for the truck, in case you wanted to look at more pics, or check out the specs of the truck. https://www.rbauction.com/2013-caterpillar-sba-sba?invId=4021585&id=ci
  17. I was checking things out at our local Ritchie Bros. auction. I wanted to share a pic of a Cat D11N. It was very cool, I have never seen a dozer that size. I looked up some specs on line to go along with it. 2105.3 cubic inch, 3508 - 8 cylinder engine, produces 770 HP weight - 211304 lbs compared to a D9N - 93789 lbs ( don't think that includes the ripper, but not sure)
  18. I think it looks cool to GG2. I want to do the same to my tri-axle. I love the look of alcoas.
  19. Congratulations, very nice truck
  20. That sale is in BC j_martell. I,m close to the Toronto(Bolton) location. Wish I was there, bet things are warmer than here. And I really wouldn't mind a nice MH.
  21. Thanks for the complements guys. Much appreciated! MACKS, about the amount of time I plow , its not as much as you would think. The regional municipality that I work for have combination plow and sander units that are the primary caretaker of the road. They would work 500 to 700 hours in a season.Thats generally from Nov 01 to middle of April. Plows like mine (no sander) are only called in storms generally or blowing snow. It averages about 100 hours. I probably work less than you guys. Ha,ha . It used to be more when I started with my own truck in the early 90's. We used to be called out when the first snowflake fell, and didn't finish till everything was perfect. This is why I have so much respect and admiration for my Mack snowplow. There has been times it would run for days around the clock with no stop, and in the 16 years I have owned it. It has never let me down once. I think thats pretty good for a truck that was already 13 years old when I got it. And is pushing 30 years old now. I almost forgot. The region I work for are getting new Granite snowplows. It is the first time they have ever had Mack. When they come in I will take pics and post. Keith
  22. I had a wingman come and shoot some video while I was plowing Wed. into Thurs. I shortened it to a 2 min. ride along. At the end of the video I show my automatic tire chains. They work really good. I can get away with just 7500 pounds on the back, and not spin in wet heavy snow. The chains are ONSPOT, made in the USA https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=eR9YrbR8rk0
  23. The picture of the round vents is exactly the same as my 86 RD . Mine has also got cracks, and I was told I couldn't replace it.
  24. I was wondering when the program started, and how long they did it for. Maybe someone on here is/was familiar with it. I'm with you Al, if I had the opportunity, I would go to something like that to. I'm not sure If my buddy that owned the truck went or not. Keith
