  1. 84 superdog , what a cool thread ….. and f;'#ig amazing music videos. I love both songs, and both videos. And the truck looks perfect. Really nice work. I hope it is ok, I added a link to the Black lilies song, I couldn't find it in the thread (not the one with your truck).I might have missed it. I would suggest to any newbies (like me) to read this thread http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LevTHf9k9jM
  2. To go along with the under water theme from a few post ago. I wanted to share a couple of pics from a strange job I was called to in 2007. A local farmer was clearing the ice with his david brown and went through . He called me to pull it out. On the phone he told me it wasn't that bad. We got it dragged out and took it to a heated shop for him. He drained and changed everything, and still uses today. Guess the water didn't affect the computer. LOL
  3. Thanks for sharing your pics and info gearhead. I bet you get pissed when someone complains about the price of a quart of cherries .If they only knew the time and money you had invested. This is what we have here today, an hour north of Toronto, Canada . Almost 3 inches of snow. Mother nature is letting us know who is boss.
  4. This one is for you Superdog. I found it on line, I'm not sure if it is your new one,but I think it is the same company. It looks like it might say 17 on the right front corner.
  5. Thanks for the proper info mower man. That accident was on our news north of the border also. It doesn't surprise me that they blame the truck. It really bothers me that when there is an accident they blame the trucker. We have had people up here listening to there i-pod walk into the side of a moving truck. Of course they blame the truck. Want side guards on all trucks, even strait trucks. And the part that bothers me most is they never mention how the incident affects the truck driver. Can you imagine how you would feel, after an accident that injured or killed someone. I know I would probably hang up my keys. I wish they would give us a little more credit. Sorry for my rant, it seems like it is happening more now; blaming trucks for everything. Its a sore spot with me. Keith
  6. A pic of my dozer. It had its 10th birthday a couple months ago.
  7. Its finally spring………plow is off and buds are out……..
  8. Hope you guys have fun. Don't forget pics if you can. I have heard there is a tri-axle Titan float tractor owned by Randy Jenkins . Randy is a true pro. I have known him for a little over 20 years. And there is a granite snowplow owned by a local aggregate company. They say the Mack booth was impressive.
  9. I would like to go, but with the weather finally changing, I have LOTS to do. BADDOG, my plow came from RJ's in 1998. I always watch what they have. There was a nice rawhide there, that would have been good for sneakers. I was going to post it for you, but its gone. Maybe this one might interest him.
  10. Nice looking trucks!!!! Look forward to seeing more pics of them.
  11. It looks like the guys on the dock are saying" I'm not telling him its in the water, you tell him"
  12. Gearhead is right , tractor protection valve.
  13. I can imagine the site foreman was not impressed. Did the 88 have to save the day?
  14. That was a good one blackdog. It must of been pretty cozy in that cab with 3 girls and the driver.
  15. Super classy truck! nice collection
  16. When I think of Macks in a movie, I think of Die Hard 3. When I looked for a pic, I found that Bigdogtrucker had started a thread about it a little more than 5 years ago. Very interesting! Here is a link to that thread. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/8502-die-hard-3-b-81/ And the next movie I think about is of course ….Convoy. A true classic, like the truck.
  17. I have some Western Star pics I wanted to share. The owners of all 3 trucks ran Internationals before their Western Stars. I don't really remember specs. I will try my best. Think it was a 1986 with a 60 series detroit Same truck. I was doing a job in down town Toronto in 1995 This was a 99 model year. New in1998. Had a big cat . Pic is taken in Montreal 1998. I'm the tall guy. Used to tag along for fun. This is a Truck that works for me. 2001 has a big cat,18 speed. Pic taken last May.
  18. If that truck could talk, imagine the stories it could tell. Great find ! look forward to watching and hearing about your progress.
  19. Thanks Thomas, I just got the 86 tri-axle out of storage. After I shine it up a bit more, I will post some more pics of it. The inside and the outside .
  20. Thanks Vlad
  21. Vision386, Back in Black, AdirondakMack and MACKS, thanks guys for the complements. My trucks have never been new, but I have always been particular about how they work and look. That means when everyone else was enjoying their weekend, I am usually working on something………….Thats how I enjoy my weekend!
  22. I remember that video. The guy got fired for it. We are told the same thing he says in the video"get the snow pushed back" . In the process of doing that, cars may get buried, driveways get filled. You can't really help it. He was just enjoying it too much. Really , its a terrible job. We get threatened, shovels thrown at the truck, cars parked in the way on purpose. And to top it off we are told if we say or do anything in response, we will be fired on the spot. No second chances.
  23. I had a 2010 Deere 200D that I sold last year…I know what your saying about fuel
  24. Looks great!! Only thing that would be better is if a John Deere was loading .
  25. Very nice truck MikeD.
