  1. While I was ripping the house apart looking for the pic of the MH633. I came across something cool, I forgot I had. Apparently, when you bought a new Mack,(a long time ago) there was a free Service Training school. Others here are probably familiar with it, possibly went. I don't know much about it myself. I was wondering if new Macks came with that? lol
  2. I wanted to share a pic of one of my favourite MH's - Its a MH633 , it is out of the winter 1991, bulldog magazine. If I ever win the lottery….. thats what I want!
  3. Your right Rob, in the 80's and 90's International was a very popular truck. In my little part of the world anyway. I'm not sure why, I think it was price, companies that always had International moved to Western star and Kenworth. Mack people always stayed with Mack. I wanted to share a pic of my first snowplow - it was a 1981 S1900 with a DT 466 and a 13 speed transmission.
  4. Nice R…..wana sell it?
  5. There is a lot of new Macks being sold in my part of the country. It used to be Kenworth, but mack is coming on strong. A good friend of mine, that has never owned a Mack , is getting a new Granite built. Be here in May. I kind of hope he is right.(Mr. Olof ) I would like to see Mack around for a long time.
  6. I like the ol smokin mack. Good look'n trucks! All of them!
  7. I found this on you-tube and wanted to share it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=6q-SlfbXxgI As soon as it starts you will be able to see it won't end well. But I didn't predict the ending.
  8. Thanks for posting your pics every week OD. It is on of my favourite threads. I'm hoping the snow pics turn into trees blooming and grass turning green……soon!
  9. I like your RD. But I sure wouldn't mind the newer truck….. When its not on the hook.
  10. any tighter and you would have to grease things up. Good job!
  11. I don't find it funny at all. It doesn't look they backed off one bit when they were approaching the reporter. Sounds like no one was hurt, luckily. But is that how they plow when they are approaching kids waiting for a school bus, or a senior shovelling there driveway? I don't think it is very professional at all. just my 2 cents.
  12. I'm thinking you guys do stand-up comedy in your spare time. Had a great laugh. I have never seen a detroit run wild,(hope I never do) but I sure have heard the stories. Hope things go smooth Btalmadge. Guess if they don't I will be able to hear it here, north of the border.
  13. There is saying by Farrah Gray "Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs." That being said, I agree with GreenGiant. Paperwork and regulations are a big part of the job.
  14. Great pictures. I really like those dump trucks . I hope one of these days I can see your R in person at a truck show. Cool truck!!!! And thanks for mentioning "Canadian made"
  15. Great pictures!! Thanks for sharing.
  16. Hmmmmmm……….sunshine……..warm weather…………no snow……….. you might end up with a line of macks as far as the eye can see!
  17. I would love to see pictures too, truck and steering wheel.
  18. My 1985 RD685 has 38 rears, and has 5 spoke hubs, I thought Deere Macks 6 spokes meant it was heavier. I would also say it is a 237 for sure. Great find Deere mack, looks like a nice truck. Once you get trucking with it, be patient. With a load you won't set speed records. But it will get you there every time. My advice…….get a BIG horn.So you can blow back at the cars that are passing you, giving you the finger.
  19. Thanks for the props guys, hopefully one day UD will look down and see his truck at a show
  20. Thanks, about the axle weights. It was setup for the maximum Ontario axle weight laws in 1986. I don't know the specific details of the axle spacing. All I can say is it must be right, because there have never been any issues at inspection stations…. Soon it won't matter anyway. The Ontario government has said we are too stupid to use a lift axle, and unless it is an automatic steering axle, it won't count. So some time soon my tri-axle will only be able to carry a tandem load. Bad dog seems to be well informed on axle weights and the new regulations coming in for us.
  21. lol….Don't get to excited. The wrong video would have been our pets.
  22. I'm just catching up on some drinking time, and thought I would download a short video of my dogs. I know I have a short history with Mack , compared to most here. But I think I have almost the same passion. I sure don't have the same knowledge. That I have discovered reading post. I don't have many photos because it seems if you don't have a Pete or KW no one wants to see….. But you all. Thanks again for having me aboard. P.S. - I don't know if this will work, if it doesn't I will try again…….And I hope its the right video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=a8nUERMfhM8
  23. The only thing missing from your plowing pic is someone passing you on the left and trying to squeeze between you and the lead plow. Great pictures!!
  24. I found this on line. Don't know where or who it is. The site was in french. You would have to be a real trucker to drive one of these.... not a steering wheel holder.
  25. The next time you are in the area, and you are ready to kill the idiot at the front of the line of cars that is doing 25 miles/hour up hills and 55 miles/hour down hills………………Its probably me in my 85 RD, that has a 237 in it. It may not be fast….but sure is pretty to watch!
