  3. This going totally off topic now but back in the early ninetys I got subpoenaed to go to court as a witness court was 2500 km away told them stick up there ass Im not going they told me the police will be around shortly to inform me I have no choice and I says tuff Im running a business whos gunna run it while Im not there they say they will pay me the same amount as I get paid if I was there so I say fair enough so they send me off on a plane change plane then the next plane gets delayed anyway the long and the short of it is because I was delayed I wasnt need the court hearing didnt go ahead and they settled out of court I had to stay the night away the next morning they plan was canceled so any way I end back at home I send these clowns a invoice and the bastards say no way were not paying that just my standard hourly rate I thought right we will see about that and the long and the short of it was because I never gave a written quote I didnt have a leg to stand on fast forward around ten years get a job done for me and I ask for a few quotes before we start and the one I go with seems ok they are all around the same anyway this job is meant to take around a week a few weeks pass the job is only half done this bloke turns up at door going crook I still to this day dont know what the problem for him was but sends me a bill for a half finished job for over $28000 when he quoted $7500 I say Im not gunna pay unless you can explaine how this went so wrong he says Im gunna see you court so of we go the long and the short of it was because I didnt have a written quote I didnt have a leg to stand on so I say to the boss man of the court about the above story and about this story and to me it just dont seem right I was told I couldnt get payed because I didnt give a written quote but I had to pay even with out a written quote his answer was wait for it "DONT BE SMARMY" WTF is smarmy well I have since learnt its to be a smart ass the moral to the story's dont trust no prick and if you need a job don do it your self no matter what and stay away from courts there is no winners there Paul

  21. I was gonna tick "like this" BUT I dont like it one bit, its a bloody disgrace the thousands of men and woman that gave their lives and gave up the best years of their lives so that we could live the way we do and the powers that be dont have balls or respect to stop and remember oh it makes my blood boil Paul
  22. those old petrol six's were a copy of a chev blue flame six only built to metric equivlents and bolts were tough and simple had to do with after the war and the US helping to get them going again Japan took the ball and ran with it thats for sure Paul
  23. yeah they werent a bad bomb in there day commonly known as the beached whale model due to there body shape fat mudguards and flares had no full floating back axle so were not as tough as a Land Cruiser of the day and the overdrive was a bolt on to the back of the main box and gave trouble if towing big loads but all in all were a pretty good little buggy Ford re badged them as Mavericks Nissan sold Ford utes as Nissan's Holden's were sold as Toyota we all got a bit mixed up back then badge engineering we used to call it Paul
  24. that might be cool but I'd rather something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTyHQ_8nW0Q you all can have a laugh but we are all a bit of a laugh over here Paul
