  2. sounds like its Sesame street with the wiring "Big Birds nest" mind you most trucks are like a birds nest after a few years and a few owners Paul
  3. all very interesting I have read about problems with the early maxidynes that had the wrong bolts fitted to the crank bearings and one operator who ran only Mack complained to Mack Australia about this and when Mack Australia wouldnt come to the party they were the last Macks they bought after years of buying Macks and lots of them In Australia on heavy work Cats have bearing changed at 400,000 km they pull like a train but the bottom ends arent real strong Big Cam Cummins seam to go over the 1 millon km fairly commonly as do the older Mack motors Paul
  4. I can get these for you and have sent some over there before for 84 super dog Barry Emailed me asking for details I sent them thru to him so if you have no luck let me know the postage is a killer if people want you can let me know who wants what and most likely get a better deal on freight If Barry has it all sorted it would be best for me to leave it to him let me know if I can help I gather it's bottom ones your chasing Paul

  9. Fantastic stuff there chassis 1001 wonder if it is number one built it may have gone to NewZealnd does anyone know when they got them ? as some NZ trucks appear have come from the US and some from Australia Paul notice that some only have one stud and cleat on each spoke on the spider's and some have two
  10. I dunno about 2 valve verses 4 valve I got my injector pump done up 7 or 8 years ago a bloke in western Melbourne ( he is yank cant remember his name ) did the job and as I recall he set the injector pump to the injectors he believed that was the correct way to have it done or at least thats the way I remember it what a difference and the bark when pulling hard up a hill its like a gun shot going off (well maybe not quite) but you get my drift and pull my god it was like a different truck what does all of this have to do with 2 or 4 valve not a lot but I feel a lot of what makes these trucks go hard is how good the bloke is at setting the pump not the amount of valves the size of the turbo the exhaust ect no good spending bucket loads of cash if the basics arent right just some thoughts Paul
