  3. I aint ever known any one to drink that crap even when we was shit faced you pricks we never could drink that crap it has always been called "Nuns piss" out here I like Elephant beer the best thats XXXX gold XXXX bitter is ok better know as barbed wire VB now that aint a bad drop got shit faced on that many a time also known as "green hand grenades" but my favorite thing to drink is from seppo land "Jim Beam" that stuff can make me into a instant asshole some times The old Bear or Bundy Rum used to love that as a young bloke till I woke up at the Cross with no pants and a strange bird on my lap (and I dont even come from that part of Australia still dunno how I got there but it must have been fun ) LOL Paul

  6. I have been told that they dropped the parallel parking from the driving tests in some Australian states because people find it to hard these days Paul
  7. Yeah you need to check your spacer if the wedge is out of travel People these days have a habit of over tightening them and crushing the spacer when they use rattle guns they dont need to be done up real tight I do them fairly snug by hand with a wheel brace and check them again in half a hour or so The wedges sort of hold the rim on like a morse taper drill bit Paul
  8. yep theres some type of stupid that you cant fix Now to take this off topic but just a bit I reckon drivers licences have gone like kids report cards at school everyone passes even if they are duds and cant count the fingers on one hand because no one wants to hurt the little cup cakes feelings FFS really sooner or later this BS has to stop if you cant drive well enough to have a licence then for FFS dont be given one its not that hard go back and practice till you are good enough dont make a car to suit someone that has no idea or regard for fellow people on the road And Im sure we all know some people that should never of had licence Been able to drive and have a licence isnt a right it's privilege and in this country today to many people believe everything is a right not a privilege to live in this wide brown land is a privilege not a right and with this privilege comes responsibilities sorry rant over Paul
  9. I reckon this is a great idea I reckon they should do away with blue tooth and all the rest of that crap people forget it wasnt that long ago no one had mobile phones anywhere and we didnt have car phones and all survived ok kids made it to and from school ok if your car broke down we would walk to the nearest phone or knock on someones door and ask to use there phone or ask if they could call someone for us we dont need a phone that works in cars at all Paul
  10. out of all the problems the US has and there is bucket loads this is one more thing that wont help anyone really and will burden everyone with more costly cars to own I would think perhaps the US might be able to think of a lot wiser investments to spend money I wonder who in congress has a family member that owns shares on the company that owns this technology ??? maybe Im a but cynical but so much of this unwanted crap begs the question why and thats the only reason I can come up with I reckon Swishy may be getting closer to the answer as well Paul
  11. Yep I gotta agree this forum is different from any other I have come across Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas stay safe all And thanks to all that share on here I learn heaps and about a lot more than just Mack trucks as well Paul
  12. I dont really care what anyone does as long as they are having fun is all that really matters I am a firm believer that is what all this collecting restoring playing with and working old gear should be all about Im not about to knock someone for paying to have something done nor someone for doing it all them selves or some bloke that enjoys his truck in its work clothes To me its all about having fun doesnt matter to me if its a bloke in his 80's that has done a paint job with a brush and house paint or a show truck that has $20,000 blown on a paint job its all fun times It's gunna end up pretty boring if we all end up doing the same thing Paul
  13. I remember many years ago I had a old Falcon ute and was racing around Bundaberg and went flying past the cop shop and next thing she ran out of go jumped a tooth on the timing chain Well out with some tools and chucked a fresh timing chain set on low behold the starter had buggered up as well so pull it off to have a ganda at it nothing bolt him back on sitting there thinking for some then it occurred to me When I went to pull the harmonic balancer as the motor had no compression due to the timing chain jumping a tooth I had to put it in 1st and pull the hand brake as tight as I could to get the motor to lock up Been the dopey bugger I have been known to be it was still in gear and the hand brake was still on and she was full wound up tight Pushed the clutch in pulled it of gear and it started right up after the best part of half a day trying to work out what happened to the starter dopey bastard hey ???? Paul
  14. Good onya I reckon these blokes on here will be able to help point you in the right direction for any parts
  15. Willie Willie Willie mate thats as funny as and the best part is you appear to be laughing about it and even better still of all the brains trust on here not one of us said check the axle stand LOL I can honestly say I havent done that but have done plenty of other silly things that make that pale in nothing LOL Many years ago dont know how many but I learnt that if something isnt going back together right or working right after I have been working on it, the problem is most likely me LOL Keep up the good work and the sense of humor been able to laugh at ourselves is what makes us better people Paul
  16. Gudday mate and welcome Im not sure on Oklahoma weather but if its cool there you stay nice and warm in the B model cab if its warm to hot you will have nice clean pours on your skin The old B model is a great old truck and really put Mack on the world map and have a bucket load of style as well Paul
  17. Now the first thing I gotta say is Im no expert Im just a farmer who fixes his own gear and other peoples some time I have been told before by people a lot smarter than me that turbo spins at something like 30,000 to 60,000 rpm so I guess something to think about is its gunna be a lot different than spinning by hand on the bench You could also pull the inlet manifold hose or pipe off and forget the turbo and intercooler and see what happens it still might make some smoke but very little your problem is for sure you have a air restriction just gotta work out which part is restricted Paul
  18. It wont be this keep it simple you have un burnt fuel so you have a lack of air flow and its either plugged air filter (just remove the hose off the turbo and take it for a run if its better you know where to look Or maybe prove the inter cooler is fine just get some pipe the right size and replace it temporally with a pipe so you no the restriction isnt in the inter cooler but I dont think its that either I reckon you have sucked some bearing into the turbo and stuffed the bearing Paul
  19. Ok I only have started reading this has any thought that perhaps some bits of the main bearing in the days leading up to it chucking the bearing ended up going thru the turbo Because if your making black smoke fuel isnt getting burnt so your not getting enough air to burn the fuel properly Paul
  20. And Paul we Aussies were in both gulf wars Afghanistan Korea and just about any other scrap that has been going on around the world in the last 120 years We must love a blue or maybe we like to try and stand up for those that cant stand up for them selves either way we always seem fairly keen to stick our hand up and try and help Paul
  21. This is saddest part of today in all the free world people dont seem to love their country as once they did and no longer do people as whole put their country first and them selves second I find in todays world I think people as whole have a lot more worries and as such I do a lot of reading and I tend to read a lot of books about the WW1 and WW2 and truly believe we have well and truly lost our way in the last 30 or 40 years I am reading a book for second or maybe third time about the coast watchers in the Pacific you know the blokes that saved JFK and countless other airmen sailors and soldiers And a bit more once Pearl Harbor was bombed Australia welcomed the US with open arms so much so that we all worked together with Macarthur running the show Australian families would take US troops home to their houses to give the troops some sort of formality when on leave complete strangers welcomed I guess the questions we should ask our selves would any of us do all this today Dont get me wrong Australian and US troops brawled from one of town to the other when on leave but also fought together died together and lived together Men from a different time when we werent as selfish as we are today To all the men from then and the years that followed thank you for not putting your selves first and put the good of a country or countries first Paul
  22. Today, well actually tomorrow for you lot in the US as you are a day behind us, was the day Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japs. Don't know if the US does anything for this or not, but I will and already have taken a moment to think about all the men that died that day and how that day changed the world for ever. I often wonder in today's fast paced world have we really missed what it is all truly about these young men will never know and I'm afraid people of today have forgotten how quick our lives can be turned upside down. As a Boy Scout says "you should always be prepared". I think we are all slowly forgetting this. Paul
  23. Yeah right I can just see farmers everywhere rushing out to buy this $120,000.00 ute Paul
  24. yeah mate I have no idea but I would think the lightning bolt normal would mean the alternator is not charging how is the brushes in the alternator are they free and not worn out maybe they stick when you first start for the day Paul
  25. I wonder why Australia can produce special low volume trucks as our mainstream trucks and charge a packet for them I would guess one these would be around $500,000.00 and there is a waiting time of over 6 months Yet Volvo Mack USA keep building things people dont want I have spent a lot of time for a farmer running around delivering hay up and down the hwy of late and still the most popular B double truck I see in this part of Australia is the Mack Trident axle forward they are every where Surely the parent company Mack Volvo USA can see this ????? I would think if you want a bigger slice of the pie you gotta start making what people want Sorry Im like a stuck record on this but I hope someone some where in the US will sit up and pay attention And as far as KW Australia and their new jigger go I hope it goes for them as planned Paul
