  1. Yeah I dont doubt that seed Im only relaying what blokes tell me they have paid for new jiggers in recent times They all tell me the base price isnt to bad but it doesn't take long to chew thru over a 100 grand once you start adding basic things most people want and need Paul
  2. I just don't think most Americans realize how cheap things in the US really are Also gotta remember that when US trucks like Kenworth and Peterbilt came to Australia they were 4 times as dear as any other truck yet still sold like hot cakes When they model came onto the Australian market it halved trip times The US truck of 60's,70's and 80's was so well suited to Australian conditions that people were happy to paya premium Oh and $450,000 is Australian and google tells me that's about 310,000 US So considering all the mods and extra gear that Australian trucks have it probably isnt as bad as it seems I have been told a factory fitted bullbar that wont void your warranty on KW is $15000, the grease plate or 5th wheel is $5000 It doesn't take long to add up Paul
  3. Yep sweet looking ute for sure Paul
  4. jdfordhd 217 Posted May 12 Been a while since I posted so I thought ya'll needed to know I still own it. Hauling my 700K this week. My Super Liner and me are celebrating 30 years together.! And she is still looking fantastic That Superliner is a real credit to you and the care you have given to it I recall some pics you shared when you bought it and it's changes over the years At a guess that must have been 25th anniversary Great stuff and more pics please Paul
  5. As Vlad said Looks great, any more pics Paul
  6. I would think that a new prime mover in Australia would be over 400 grand with a bunk, bull bar, and long tange tanks etc Last new KW 90? something with all of what would be considered pretty standard gear in Australia was 450 grand around 550 HP A mate bought it and hasn't had a bad run and this was at a guess 10 years ago Paul
  7. That might not be as silly as it sounds Swish man When I was fixing Mrs Macks cab I noticed the can still had the LHD holes for steering pedals etc So might be very doable But I think them Yanky jokers might have a heart attack at how much a new Mack costs down this side of the world Paul
  8. I noticed no poxy mirrors on the Anthems bonnet, thats a good move Paul
  9. Just keeps looking better and better
  10. Well I love it, the grill looks good compared to what a lot of other manufacturers offer The inside looks good. Doubt they will ever make it in RHD but if they did I reckon I might well stick my hand up for one I have read lots of complaining on the forum over the years about lack of US truck manufacturing, here's you chance Americans to put your money were your mouth is and throw your support behind it The same goes for the T Line truck Paul
  11. I reckon still one of the greatest films on youtube Paul

Perfect It works thanks Joe Thats my Grandfather on the dozer loading what I'm pretty sure is a Burma Dodge, either that or ex Army EH Mack with some more civilian type cab Here is my Grandfathers EH Mack The family always said it was a NR Mack but thanks tp the forum I am 100% sure that's incorrect and it is a ex Army EH Mack Paul

  22. Gotta agree, they at least need to produce something more than artist impressions of what they wanna sell Paul
  23. Zetor isn't Russian, it's Czechoslovakian, different country all together They were always a very clean running motor in the 70's compared to most other brands They ran a lot cleaner than the US IH of the day and into the 80's and even the John Deere's so I feel they would have it well under control today Paul
  24. Will give me something to try tonight Oddly enough I can still put photos up in the gallery That bit on the bottom left of the screen shot you posted above no longer appears on my computer or phone As in the bit about "Click to choose files" All I get now is "Insert image from URL" on the bottom RHS of the page Paul
