    Agreed, if a turbo is spinning as described it would mean your missing most if not all of you motor internals Paul

    Well if you aren't getting smoke when it's sluggish that tells me its a fuel problem If it's getting HP sometimes but not others that tells me the injectors and everything else mechanical isnt the problem I would be suggesting either a crook ground connection or a crook connection on that loom some were Thats as far as I can help you as I have never had one of these and am only using what is logical to me Paul

    Thats a amazing tractor, there must of been huge shortage of big tractors around that time as even in Australia people made similar looking tractors on that scale, even some professional looking articulated tractors up around the 300 HP mark

    Im guessing you could if the bonnet (hood) was a fiberglass one If it is a steel bonnet (hood) I dont think you could as it has to bolt onto the cab, unless you do what they do with sleeper cabs in Australia and mount the bonnet (hood) and cab all on the sub frame and the bonnet (hood) and cab moved as one Paul

    Well turbo motors dont make boost for only a couple of reasons Lack of fuel or lack of air Does it blow black smoke when its trying to make boost ? If so your lacking air If theres no smoke then I would say a lack of fuel Paul

    If you were in Australia you would just toddle on down to your nearest Mack dealer as they always seem to have them sitting there, surly the States cant be that much different Paul

    I guess you all are lucky things have worked out ok for the family I still dont know anyone that has had the virus here in Australia so I have no opinion about how severe it is The thought about ones immune system makes sense to me I haven't watched the news on TV since 2007 so I am really dum and only get what filters thru to me from social media and family and friends Stay safe over there in Yanky land and the rest of the world Paul

    Yes happy Christmas to all, interesting Rowdy, got me talking to people about all the stuff we used to do as kids that would be quite llame these days Paper chains, paper lanterns, and we only ever got one special thing and everything else was clothing World has changed a lot, you all stay safe and healthy into 2021 Paul

    Nope sorry, make sure you have no leaks in the return half of the system as this will cause it to loose prime over night So all the hoses between the injectors, the air start if fitted as well as the line to the tank Paul

    I would guess the gearing would be in the 8 somethings given its age and what most trucks were like back then No matter what it ends up been its a neat looking truck Paul
