  1. Back in the early 90's I was hauling oak logs out of Vt. 1 of the trips a man from southern Vt had a General log truck like that. It was quite a truck. He told me it was ordered to be a compressor truck for I.R. going to south America. The order got cancelled so GM was trying to sell them. He said it was a great log truck except it was heavy. If I remember it 8V92 8LL rubber block susp. Steel butter fly hood with steel fenders, triple frame
  2. It had those mufflers when I bought the truck. Mostly what I did to the truck was mechanical work. Im not much for body work.
  3. That's my old F model. One of those trucks I wish I hadn't of sold. But after talking with the Gentlemen who I sold it to it has gone to a good home. The before picture is on our website. www.caboverkings.com You can appreciate the amount of work he has done to the ole girl
  4. My local Mack dealer has been very helpful. There are some parts they can get. I bought new windshield rubber when I put new windshields in. Also got new wiper motors, cab lift cylinder this past summer. But like others have said parts are scarce. I have the part number for new glass if you like. Get urself a parts cab.
  5. That's cool. I have always wanted to drive a 2 stick COE. Must be interesting. Thanks for posting
  6. Werent those trucks out of New Holland, Pa? Use to see them on Rt23 near the New Holland plant.
  7. Hmm. Its a KW not a Freightcrate, I has KW 4 bag susp. Still a lot of good parts there
  8. An old timer once told me "You aint a real man if you cant work a Detroit." Nothing wrong with them, you just have to be smarter than the engine
  9. Even had a Cruiseliner in it! Thank you for helping to put Pride back into our industry
  10. That's one of the trucks I hauled. Being a "self proclaimed COE buff" that REO is unique. Very interesting how the front opens out.
  11. Yes id like the that "Michigan Special" Titan as well. Titans weren't made nearly as many years as an Astro
  12. No Jeff didn't buy that. Heard Brian in Manchester got that along with the Electric truck
  13. Didn't take any pics. Like I said the people around there were less than friendly. 1 called the police when my brother parked on the side of road as there was only room to load 1 truck at a time. We got the heck out of there and by the time we landed in Weare, N.H. it was dark. Yes it all went to Jeff R
  14. A lot of Equipment there on a postage stamp size lot. The neighbors were less than nice to say the least. Sad to see people who have to push their views on to others. Hauled 2 D models and 2 E's out of there.
  15. That's his motive. Take it or leave it most of the time. That being said I have bought a couple used trailers at a good price. He does have a very nice collection that is worth the trip. Then go 15 miles west and there is another nice collection of around a 100 old trucks in Weare, N.H.
  16. I was called sat nite about hauling 3 loads out this sale. A B81, 4 COE's, plus 2 other trucks. Going down end of week when I have time. Cant wait to see what were hauling.
  17. Ok. My 80 Cruiseliner is model WS767LST. Yours is a 747. Mine according to Local dealer is a B.C. Is mine not the correct model for that engine?
  18. I did not know you could buy a B.C. 3 in the early 80's. Intresting
  19. Either a misprint or a replant. B.C. 3's weren't out in 81
  20. Reminds of New York. Is it a bad neighborhood? Why the fences?
