    "Research" shows that virgin tires blow more than recaps. But I gotta be honest, in 20 years I only had one virgin tire blow out. And that was a 425 Michelin steer. Had quite a few caps blow. Bandag caps in this area too. Now I run new Michelin drive tires and the casing value I get back offsets the cost. Steers, I only have luck with kumho 425's

    So a $30,000+ fine per engine cleans the air? How about instead of the government getting that money and wasting it, they give it to the poor guys that bought those shit sandwiches. I bet some of the o/o's and big fleets would love some compensation.

    Bigger hammer. And I also duct tape a strong magnet to a long rod to get out pieces of broken axle. A little fishing will get u a lot of metal.

    That 355/380 is a great torque motor. And it should be pulling 6 to 7.5 if driven correctly. Theres a chain of grocery stores here that used to run those pulling 53 footers and I think they averaged 7. But they had cadaks in every truck so u couldn't speed or over rev

    I think every other truck manufacturer should sue Navistar. They cost everyone lots of money. Now they're using the scr system that they tried to sue the government over saying it was no good. In my book, Navistar is a company we could do without.

    Again, this is a dealer/salesman issue. Whenever I spec'd trucks it took two days at the most for engineering to get back. My salesman was on it and persistent.
