We have a local end dump operator here that started out with 2 long hood petes. His company kept growing and soon he had 10 big hoods. Well now with 40 trucks and now he watches every expense he switched to freightliners and now transitioning to macks.

There's a large company here that has been running kw's for years. They get prototypes all the time to try out. They had these new paccar cabs for years already. 3 years is all they usually keep a truck and they are junk by then. All they do is pull local tankers but they're just stamped out junk.

I just priced new Michelin drives today. $615 a tire for 16 ply xdn2. I'm going to try out Hankook DL12's instead. $412 a piece for 16 ply. They have some better tread patterns too for the same price.

Overdrives are actually not always better because there is more resistance in a overdrive setup. As for running at 1600 rpm, that all depends on the engine. My 460 likes 1450 the most. It'll pull and not smoke. My mp10 likes 1150 the best.

When I ordered my titan the rawhide added $12,000 to the LIST price. The list price is inflated by over 1/3. It actually cost $7500 more. But it cost that $7500 more than a Titan that had single exhaust and no accessories. So when you start adding dual exhaust, visor, leather, led lights and so on, the rawhide was about the same price. I still like my CL elite interior better, all carpet and a wood dash just add more class.

First off, if you work at McDonald's or a department store you should not make big money. Those are not career jobs and never intended to be. Second, I live in Minnesota. And we need people that can actually do a job. College does not make you able to do a certain job. It is to mature you, teach you and help you grow up. These kids graduate and think the world owes them something. Get off your asses, work and make $200 a week. That'll pay rent and food and books. Tuition can be loans and grants. Paying back your loan is part of the learning and maturing process. The private universities were never intended for all students to go to. St. Johns here is upwards of$40,000 a year. They're for the wealthier and truly gifted students. And the poor gifted students get scholarships and grants. My girlfriend had student loans of $120,000 because she went to a private school. She's working and paying them down. When they're paid off she'll realize what she is actually capable of doing when you work hard.
