  1. I took mine off a couple of months ago. I used an engine hoist with a strap to hold the fender in place while removing the bolts. Then raised it above the tire and moved it aside. You can pick the fender (with inner fender) up and move it around but it is awkward when trying to unbolt and hold in place.
  2. l lucked out and found a set of six rims on FB marketplace for $45 each. I had to drive 150 miles but beats the shipping cost. Too bad they didn't have decent tires on them but then I'm pretty sure they were trailer rims.
  3. I stopped in the local Service Tire Truck Center (multiple locations VA to NY) for a quote on 11r22.5s. They priced six Kelly 146k Armoursteel all positions @$356 each and install on bare wheel @ $25 each. Also gave a quote on Coopers four Work Series RHD H 1 drives @ $482 each and two Work Series RHA H 1 steers @ $468. No price reductions in sight.
  4. Looks like it hammered for $27,500.
  5. It's a good thing nobody has handed them a gun. They would shoot themselves.
  6. I'm in the process of switching from tube type split rim to tubeless radials. I found six 22.5 x 8.25 used rims in good shape. There is a truck tire shop close by that will mount the tires if bought from him or $40 each if not. I haven't priced tires so I'm not sure if it pays to buy online or cash and carry vs through a shop. I do know when you see the price of one tire and multiply by 6 it adds up quick.
  7. Just happen to see this. Not mine. https://hendersonauctions.bidwrangler.com/ui/auctions/96488/11505853
  8. Hope you had a good one. Keep on having them.
  9. Looks like Harbor Freight has the magic tire changer for $130 before coupon. They also have the bead blaster.
  10. Larry, I hear you. I'm looking to go from bias to radial. The ones I have now (Firestone bias/tubes) date back to the early 90s. Look good, hardly any wear, no cracks or dry rot. Prices I have seen are from $400s all the way up to $700. Of course I need wheels, etc too.
  11. The picture shows up at the top of the page. I couldn't find the original post either.
  12. Enjoy the day and have many more.
  13. Looks good. Nice fit.
  14. I just filled my F-350 @ $3.99 and thought that was a bargain compared to what it has been. That's in northern VA.
  15. I see it sold for $13,250.
  16. Here's to many more! Enjoy the day.
  17. That must be the mileage since fabrication and fresh paint.
  18. He put out a calendar for '21 (I think). I'll try and post a picture.
  19. 1974 Mack 850 Homes Ecgonidine Wrecker Not mine just happen to see on Proxibid. It's located in PA and claims 7K miles. https://www.proxibid.com/1974-Mack-850-Homes-Ecgonidine-Wrecker/lotInformation/75728258&scrollLocationOnCatalog=1814.4000244140625
  20. Looks like you had fun. Time to start working on the next one.
  21. If you have the old one there are places to have it rebuilt. Try Terrill Machine in TX. They don't have a website.Terrill Machine 1000 CR 454, De Leon, TX 76444 PH 254-893-2610
  22. Update. I got the part and it is exactly the same as the old one. The one thing I didn't realize is these parts are one direction. The first attempt at installing the compressor came within about about 1/16" of tightening up. First thing I thought is the gears are not clocked so second attempt same thing. Something told me to flip the spacer and lo and behold it fit as it should. Just like the old saying "third time is the charm". When hooking up the lines there is a small crack in the discharge fitting. I was able to locate one and am now waiting for it to come. I'll try the picture of the old part again. No luck again.
  23. Sounds like things worked out for the better.
  24. Sorry to hear. Condolences to Julie and his family.
  25. I knew I had seen it somewhere recently. I think there is a video of the truck and a matching trailer.
