  1. I noticed the seller doesn't have much feed back. Seems to be a woman dealing in purses and so forth. I'd say that needs to be an in person deal.
  2. I've got a nice set with one little stone ding in one of the housings. I'm not sure what to do with them.
  3. How about the pervert Senate staffer defiling our hearing room: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/sen-cardin-breaks-silence-staffer-fired-sex-tape-filmed-hearing-room-breach-trust Worst part is the idiot thinks it's a victim.
  4. Years ago I had a Diamond T with a Hercules engine that had a large Zenith carb with a governor between it and the manifold. It had your same symptoms. I ended up hollowing out the governor and blocking all the vacuum holes and ports. It was then just a spacer. It ran fine after that. One other thing to check is the fuel pressure.
  5. I found an old B Model operation manual for gas powered trucks. It calls for 10* BTC with 91 octane gas. That was when gas was gas with lead and without alcohol. The closest thing in today's gas would be non ethanol with the same octane rating if you can find it. Probably have to experiment from that point.
  6. Great show. Thanks for the pictures.
  7. This happened this morning on I-95 (southbound) in Prince William County, VA. Sadly the truck driver did not survive. Apparently there was a car involved where the driver fled on foot while being treated by EMS. https://wtop.com/virginia/2023/11/1-driver-dies-another-runs-from-i-95-crash-site-virginia-police-say/
  8. I'd have to add John Kerry to that list also.
  9. Glad you were able to get to the hospital and get a diagnosis.
  10. Our landfill in Prince William County, VA had a large fenced in area with open front building for "too good to throw away". People would bring good stuff including a lot of construction material and those that wanted would take. It was a great idea and worked well until it became more popular and an inventory source for yard salers. The police had to be called a number of times to break up fights over the goodies. Now it's gone and all the good stuff gets thrown away.
  11. Sorry for the loss of your grandmother. They are special people. I hear you on Chicago. I was there summer before last and between the demolition trailers whizzing by and roadside piles of broken concrete there wasn't much room to spare. Pick your lane and hang on.
  12. On the firewall to the left is the air feed and filter for the shutterstat. It also has an air shutoff I guess in case there is a problem in the shutter system.
  13. Lookin' good. Here is another picture of passenger side engine no turbo.
  14. Thanks for the pictures. Looks like there were some different trucks this year. Cool Brockway pickup.
  15. Anybody make it to Winchester? I couldn't make it Friday and it looks like Sat was a total rain day.
  16. ...still available. They are Firestones.
  17. My '60 doesn't have a thermostat or even a provision for one. The truck was sold new in Atlanta. It runs usually at 170 even on the hottest days but on a long hill the shutters will open. They also open when the engine is shut down and temp goes up.
  18. These people carry Pennrite (https://restorationstuff.com/). Good Luck.
  19. Looks like there's a future driver growing into the seat and ready to tackle those three sticks.
  20. Pretty graphic. Made me think back to watching Signal 30 before a three day weekend while in the Army at Ft Riley, KS.
  21. I was lucky Power Brake in CA had one on the shelf for $900 which included shipping to VA and a $200 core charge. Shipping the core back ate up about half the credit. This place in Pittsburgh, PA rebuilds them: https://www.powerbrakex-change.com/productdetail.php?id=4257. There is also a place in far SW VA which was recommended by Power Brake in CA but there rebuild time was kind of open ended.
  22. I just finished replacing the compressor. I had to take the dip stick out but not the exhaust. I did take the fender off. Made it a lot easier.
