  1. A friend of mine had his 2006 Granite in my shop to do a turbo and injector upgrade, and I noticed with the hood open there is 4 dimples about 8 inches apart on both sides of the cowl where an air cleaner might mount. In the same area as the R-models have them. I have never seen a Granite with outside air cleaners or are these made for something else?
  2. If you have the side plate with the inversion valves on, that would tell you if it had a air shift lo-lo or a manual shift. Because it is missing, I would bet that it is a two stick 12 speed because you don't have to remove the air shift to pull the trans out of the truck. Not sure if you can just add an air shift without changing the fork, but than you will need to add an inversion valve. Hang on to that top cover because they are NOT available, I had to have mine machined and put a bushing in it.
  3. I use to watch that show but that was when pussy was a kitten. LOL
  4. The main stick must be in first gear for the deep reduction to shift, and once it is in deep, you should not be able to shift the main stick out of first. It will move up, but should not move to the right as if you were going for second,
  5. Outside air cleaners were an option. Mine has an E-9 with air cleaner under the hood, fits with no problem. I wish mine had outside cleaners. Under hood cleaners are ducted to the grill opening for fresh air.
  6. I went back in on that last post and added the picture , the box with the x in it is still there.
  7. I thought is was pictures too but I can load pictures with no problem and even when I don't try to load a picture, that box shows up.
  8. Does anyone know why I am getting this little box on the bottom left of my posts? Marked with an x, and in the box it has a IPB Image. There is nothing in my edit box and I can't seem to be able to get rid of it.
  9. But wasn't the big ears done away with when they came out with the tilt hood? Because of getting caught on wedding rings and such? or did it take awhile to figure out that there was a problem with the big ears?
  10. What year did they start making the gold bulldogs? A friend of mine showed me a gold bulldog with Big ears he picked up at a swap meet, I was wondering if they made them back in the 50's or is it a remake.
  11. I know he use to. One time they had a pink flamingo for a mascot at a baseball game and he played the part, I think he only did it once and once was enough.
  12. How about that, I have a brother that lives in West Palm, moved there from Pa in 1980 and is still there. Works for the Florida Lottery Comm. I keep asking for some winning lottery tickets, but still waiting, and waiting, and waiting, etc.
  13. If you think the cam is damaged, you can have it reground. I did one in my 94 E-7, reground the cam, reground the lifters, and had to buy one new lifter, saved a boat load of money compared to buy a new cam and all new lifters. Sent them out and had them back in about a week. If you need info on where I got them done, let me know and I will have to look for it.
  14. I have not heard of this until now. Donations are coming in from all over the country. One report is The United Way of Western Conn. had $2.6 million in it as of Saturday morning from donations. It's their way of grieving, they just want to reach out. The town hall is filled with stuffed animals, dolls, and games for the children to choose whatever they want.
  15. It must be the season, Just went out and bought the 55" 3D TV for my man cave, boy that was great , got the sound system too. Two day later the wife says the two year old dryer won't heat up, @#&%#. Ok, get on the computer to look up what could be wrong, Fricken computer won't compute. @#%@$$#&%$$#%$?. Off to the store for a new computer to find out what is wrong with the dryer.
  16. He tried to get them relined but they told him the lining was no longer available . One shoe would cost $265.00 already relined, that's just crazy.
  17. A friend is replacing his brakes and can't seem to find shoes for his truck. He is working on a 1964 B61 rear brakes.Does anyone know where to get these shoes or is there a replacement number to change style? These are extreme service but he does not need these same shoes, can go with a lighter version if possible. 16 1/2" X 7"
  18. WOW, that's it. Seems like it was just last week that I was there, no wait, it was last week.
  19. I like one with BIG racks, I guess they are one in the same. LOL
  20. Well last week I took my yearly trip to Ohio in pursuit of the elusive whitetail. When coming into the town of Zaleski off of 278 and turning right where it meets 677, I spotted a Dodge cabover tractor, single axle. It was sitting in a yard of older equipment. If anyone was looking for one, it looked to be in good condition, don't know if it is for sale, but if anyone lives in that area, maybe they can do a little leg work and check it out. I wish i had taken a picture but was in a hurry to get in the woods because my first passion is whitetails, sorry.
