  1. I agree on the Cat. A friend had one years ago and he had the practically give it away because of the Cat. Most people that buy Mack, want Mack.
  2. When I was having problems with my 12 speed, an old time mechanic told me to bypass the regulator and the trans will shift like a new one and he was right. It's bin disconnected for two years now with no problems. I think the problem is in the shifter handle. Did you get the O-rings from Mack? Not sure if they're a special size.

  4. Here's my dash, when I put the 12 speed in, I had a hard time finding a place to put the air switch for the low range, but made it work.
  5. I've seen different tire manufactures vary in over all diameter. One tire you have might be on the upper end of the specs and the other on the lower end. When mixing on an axle, you have to compare side by side to make sure they are close.
  6. I have a 88 superliner on hold to restore but when the V-8 became available, I decided to make it a donor for the frame. The frame is in excellent condition for this project. V-8 was a double frame and the donor is also.
  7. I think the foam was used to try to keep the spreading from getting worse, but as you can see, it didn't work.
  8. I'm leaving the wheels base where it is at on the frame I'm using which is 212"
  9. Next episode will be Mack featuring a guest appearance by Mack Jr. LOL
  10. It's still available, $600.00. As long as your not in a hurry, I have to get the V-8 Truck broken down into smaller pieces before I can get the other truck in the shop. Would like the sell the E-6,4 valve motor while I can still run it in the truck so the buyer can here it run.
  11. Let me take a good look at them before I give you a price.
  12. WARNING- DO NOT VIEW PICTURES IF YOU HAVE A HEART CONDITION, WEAK STOMACH, BECOME LIGHT HEADED, DIZZINESS, OR STANDING UP. In my project of "saving super" I had to cut the frame up or should I say what was left of the frame. I know, I know, No one likes to see trucks get cut up but I had to do it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  13. I don't want to brake up the cab, easier to sell complete. b61mack was first on the muffler brackets, if he doesn't want them, you can make me an offer. I will call you on the motor.
  14. No doors (they go with the cab) no usable tank steps, $600.00 for the trans I have 1 set of muffler brackets, make a reasonable offer. All tanks are 120 gallon, would like to sell rears as they are, if the buyer doesn't care about hubs, then I will trade you.
  15. I picked up this 87 superliner from a friend, V-8 500, 12 speed, 198,000 miles. Double frame is SHOT but I just happen to have a "cherry" double frame for this truck. I am going to built one truck and sell all the extra parts from the 88 (red) starting with the E-6 350, 9 speed, 38,000 Neway air ride with 4.64 ratio, superliner cab, (V-8 and 12 speed is NOT for sale) I'm keeping the blue cab and hood so if you see anything you need, let me know.
  16. This one-http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-E9-V8-Exhaust-Manifold-System-New-Coated-Superline-998-/181379840149?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a3b14b895&vxp=mtr
  17. Are you sure they are broke? maybe they just came loose and fell out. That happened to me twice.
  18. RED interior. Thttps://www.rbauction.com/1986-mack-rw613-superliner-truck-tractor-t-a?invId=4017615&id=ar
  19. Looking closer at the pictures, looks like a single frame, if it were heavy duty, I thought it would be at least double.
  20. I want too know if I can change just the side gears on my rears to 4.17 from 4.64? I have the manuals and have rebuilt my transmissions, motors, but no rears. Do I need to change anything else? If possible, I think changing the side gears would be a lot easier than the unit.
  21. We have a Newport sand and gravel by me in NE Pa, that's not the same one , is it?
  22. Figure how big you need, and double it. I have two detached, 26 X 40 just full of "stuff" ( toys , car, quads, etc.) 36' X 45' to work in. When I built my house in 96, put radiant in the whole house, including the two stall garage. The only way to go as far as heat is. With radiant, you can heat the water with just about anything, oil, coal, gas, waste oil, wood. Tools? The sky's the limit. A blue wrench and a bfh, lol.
  23. I too am looking at getting more speed out of my superliner since I changed the trans from a 9 sp. to a 12 sp. Does anyone know the high gear ratio on a 1070B? I also have 4.64 with 24.5" tires, looking at going to 4.17 but not sure of final ratio in the 12 sd. Is this trans also .78?
