  1. I have full coverage on two antiques I have. First one is valued at $30,000, second is valued at $5,000.00 through JC Taylor. Last year was $318.00 for a year. Take proof of insurance and title to a notary with a check. Cost me $130.00 for the plate. You can probably get insurance cheaper for just one vehicle but full coverage is nice to have incase anything would happen while it's parked (fire, theft, etc.) Antique do not have to be inspected so better way to go. The restriction aren't much different for either one but classic's have to be inspected.
  2. Yes, you are correct. You can pull any trailer as long as it is NOT for profit.
  3. PA does not require pictures anymore for antique or classic vehicles. But you do have to have insurance on the vehicle to get the plates. I tried a few years ago for the plates but they rejected them because my B-model was lettered on the door. I got the plates now, cost $130.00, one time deal. If you are not going to haul anything, this is the way to go.
  4. I have them on all my trucks (rookie rods) and they serve well to hold flags if you do any parades.

  6. The same guy had the B75 for sale that Jdiesel25 bought.
  7. I've been looking for one like this for a while, looked at the one you bought but was a little more than what I wanted to spend. The price is right but of coarse it's on the other side of the planet. TBone- what kind of trailer are you looking for?
  8. No, it's a tandem. Not a bad idea but would take too long and it's my busy season with spring coming any day now. LOL
  9. Looking to buy a b-model in Seattle, Wa., Need hauled to Hazleton, Pa. Maybe half way and than swapped to another hauler. Any ideas welcome. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/3715885592.html
  10. Ok guys, How much to get it home in eastern Pa? Any ideas? Would love to add this truck, even if the motors is out to lunch, I think the price is right.
  11. Does the trans shift like the pattern? Maybe the trans was changed out and the pattern label was not.

  13. Getting rid of the parallel switch and want to know if anybody knows a part number for the diesel starter? Half the parts were removed by the thieves that helped themselves to the copper and batteries, (by the way, I caught them and had them arrested )

  15. Dale Francis (440-254-4046) is very knowledgeable on these V-8's. He is in Leroy, Ohio. Crank shafts are not cheap or going through the motor, but he should be able to give you a close number on what it would cost. Reman heads for these motors are $1,600.00 each from Mack, X's 4. Rebuilding the injection pump could go into the thousands, heard numbers like $5,000.00 if they need hard parts. You could put $20.000 into a motor pretty quick. If you search you-tube or the web, you can find video of his shop. I'm sure there is other maybe closer to you also.
  16. I just went through this with a friends 06 Granite, put super flow injectors in the truck would not fire, ether was the only thing that got it going. Not crazy about using it on a every day use but sometimes you do what you got to do. A little trick is to open the passenger door and spray into the air cleaner through the crack in the door opening, better than running around the truck.
  17. I got my antique plate for my B-model yesterday so I could at least drive my truck once in a while when I get a spare minute or two (LOL). Only cost $133.00. Anyway, now the problem I have is the one I'm driving is a 422 that was converted over to a diesel with a two stick 9 spd. The rears were never changed, so the ratio is 7.00. Need less too say, the truck tops out at 45 mph. I have a quad box to put in or should I look into changing the rears? What ratio would work best if I leave the 9 spd. in? Truck has 10.00 X20's.
  18. Some models have a hand primer, some don't. It would be on the lift pump, between the filters. Did you try to use ether to start it?
  19. Do you know anything about it? It must be in bad shape if it didn't sell for that price.
  20. They all have power dividers. The front rear was probable changed, not sure about the back one. You only spike the brakes for a second, just enough time to transfer power to a wheel that has more traction.
  21. Yes there is a power divider there. It does not have air controls on that one, your truck was probable built with an air shifted divider but the rear was changed at one time and the unit they put in has a standard power divider. The way they work is if you have a tire spinning, spike the brakes while it is slipping and it should through the power to a different wheel. An air shifted one you would just flip the switch to lock the divider in. Never seen a rear without a power divider.
