  2. No programs for E9's, they are all mechanical. There is nothing "cheap" you could do to the E9's. You want to PLAY, you got to PAY. Stock and maintained, they will "run just fine". Upgraded turbo, pump turned up, and bigger injectors will make you look in the mirrors to make sure you still have a trailer attached.
  3. The timing marks are in the side of the flywheel. You'll have 3 spots with marks, they will be 120 degrees apart, one will have the TDC with degrees both ways, the other 2 will have the cylinder numbers. Unless someone changed the flywheel with an aftermarket one and some of those don't have the timing marks on them. The numbers are small and fine print so look hard,
  4. If you read my signature, words to live by. But 36 is way to young.
  5. Frame rails on both trucks look to be very tight. Two good project trucks for someone.
  6. Superliner for sale but they also have a b model for sale too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-MACK-SUPERLINER-/321664901457?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4ae4b8e151&item=321664901457&pt=Commercial_Trucks
  7. Is that a factory 864 with a single turbo?
  8. It's on there for a reason. Transmission suppliers require coolers on higher horsepower engines for warranty reasons. I would try to keep it on there.
  9. If someone calls you that, it is NOT a compliment. I knew a guy that earned that nickname and needless to say, he is no longer in the trucking business. He got blackballed, and that was the end of his trucking days.
  10. Found this video of my truck when they first got it running.
  11. If he needs a minimum of 25, I'm willing to front the money and than sell them for cost to who ever needs them. Does he have an idea on what it will cost to chrome them?
  12. I cut my teeth on a Cat 933, My uncle had two back in the late 70's, one was a pony engine start and the other was a "Big" ungraded one to an electric start!
  13. I'm ok with $60 each. I wonder how much each to be chromed? Any thoughts?

  16. http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truck_brochures/mack/mack_superliner_1970s/ Found a copy of the first superliner brochure, can't see any with the V8 emblems.
  17. Does anyone out there have a brochure of the superliner when it first came out? Maybe it will show the emblem if they put them on in the early runs.
  18. If memory serves me right, I think 85 started out with round lights and midyear changed to square. That would explain why when you look up pictures of magnum superliners, (which are all 1985's) some have round and some have square.
  19. Did the factory ever put the V8 emblems on the superliners? I had a 1980 Superliner with an E9 400 and it had them on, maybe someone put them on.
  20. http://scranton.craigslist.org/hvo/4860096587.html I started looking at superliner pictures on the internet and I see some Magnums have round headlights and some have square. But all were V8's. Maybe someone should check this truck out. You never know.
  21. I picked up a set that turned out to be gold. They are usable, not show quality but ok.
  22. It's been a while since I did it, I think the cores have to be removed with it. But that does make it easier to clean everything. Over time from condensation, dust gathers in the fins and air flow is decreased. Then it finds it way into the drip pan and sometimes blocks the drain.
