  1. Do you have the part numbers for the exhaust piping from the turbo to the stacks? I have an R model and I'd like that setup on my truck.
  2. Keg1 my R had 5.73 and I swapped to 4.64's. It allows up to 75 mph and still has a lot of grunt on the low end so you can work off road. Think.... lowboy and dump trailer type of work. I also gained 1/2 mpg by doing the swap I'm very happy. This maybe a route for you to go so it will be more highway friendly.
  3. I am curious what the new '16 Granite straight dumps are weighing empty? I had one come to the pit at 38 almost 39K???!!! Does that seem like a lot for an empty truck to anyone else?
  4. Hopefully someone can help me with a small issue I have??? I am noticing a slight lag in take off and think it's due to the speed sensor. Will adding a Blixxton programmer help this issue? Regardless what kind of results can I expect? (mpg, power and throttle response)
  5. Peterson has "plug and play" whole assemblies for any Mack with the 7" round headlights and 3 pin plug. They are pricey but in my opinion well worth it. I have a set in my 1991 RD690S and love them. I enjoyed them so much I ordered a Truxx Accessories brand set for my 1992 RW613.(4"x6" high/low beams)
  6. Got the truck back with a new clutch and made 3 loads today. It did much better other than the pedal being stiff from lack of use. I have a few bugs yet to work out most are related to trim and interior parts. Hopefully by next month I will have them worked out. Mackey58.... No I didn't put LED gauges in the dash and hopefully next week will have some interior pictures.
  7. Sorry about the sideways pictures I don't know how to rotate them. Anyway... I got the truck back from paint and body last Saturday and it cost me 5K for all the work. I thought that was a good price for the amount of man hours put into it. It has LED clearance lights now due to the old lights being in ruff shape. I made the first load with it and it did ok. I enjoy the ride and how quiet it is compared to my RD. It doesn't pull as hard as I thought so I'm going to turn the fuel up and hopefully that helps.(doesn't even smoke???) I did a three axle alignment and fixed some fuel leaks so far. The clutch needed adjusting but after I did I realized it had gone out. Now it is getting a new clutch, synchronizers and temperature gauge. Hopefully I will be back on the road tomorrow or the next day. I have a new condenser, compressor and etc. to install soon so I don't sweat to death in the coming months. Also have a few odd and end things but that will come with time. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and comments. BTW: All the lights are LED except the rear work light on the cab.
  8. So this new iPhone is taking some getting use to... I finally figured how to post some updated pictures. I had to build a fire under my body guy since the transmission went out in my RD. The bodywork is done, frame painted, rust inhibitor inside on the floorboards and painting of fenders/visor/cab is done. Hood and cab will be painted Wednesday with the truck being reassembled on Thursday. Hopefully I can be in it by next Monday! YAY!
  9. How do you tell if it is V-mac? I have a '92 that has a speed sensor but it's mechanical pump.
  10. What kind of dump trailer is that? It seems to have really short sides...
  11. What is your empty weight on that big KW with trailer?
  12. Have you found an R model yet? I have one if your interested.
  13. No new pictures but, I did talk with the body shop and all the bodywork is done except one patch. This includes fixing dents, fiberglass, sanding and priming. It is going to get the frame blasted and painted next. Then the paint on the cab/hood and install the various parts and it will be ready to work. They are hoping to be done by the end of the month.
  14. Glad you sold one so hopefully your hospital bill can get hammered down. Keep us up to date on the White.
  15. The jeep wasn't flooded due to Katrina it came from Colorado. I'm interested in CJ5's in general I'm not dead set on this one. Thanks for all the advice.
  16. I'm looking for information and advice. I'm interested a 1983 with a 6 cylinder and manual transmission. Can you give me common problem areas to look for while inspecting? It doesn't seem to have a top, doors and one tail light. He is asking 3K. What is a price range for a non restored model?
  17. I think why they didn't remove a lot of the parts is because they are trying to speed the job up. I think they are just going to wrap the parts in paper and keep working. Hopefully it will be done soon.
  18. Thanks for the nice comments everyone! AZB755V8 we have plenty of DOT around here but, they wouldn't give me a hard time they just like big trucks:) I have a few pics to share of the current progress of the body shop. It looks like it is taking longer than expected and it may be finished about the end of the year.
  19. Truck was taken to paint and body yesterday. They will be cutting out and replacing two rusted spots in the cab and fixing three fiberglass spots on the hood. Also painting the fenders, visor and top of the cab black while everything else is maroon. They will be replacing all the weatherstripping, felt and gaskets on the cab and hood, all hood parts, two windshields and a new driver seat. As an added bonus the frame and exhaust uprights will be blasted and repainted black. I'm being told it should take about two weeks to complete the job.
  20. The work has continued... I have the truck together and will be going to paint and body this week. I can't even remember all the parts I've changed to this point:) I have had multiple problems since my last post like my computer dying and work keeping me very busy. Thanks to everyone who has remained interested and supportive. Edit: Pictures now included:)
