    So True

My wife says that if I ever leave her, it will probably be for a truck...not for another woman.
  5. Some of us drool on ourselves even if there's not a nice-looking Mack close by.
  6. Must be a tri-steer...looks like a locomotive with all those wheels!!
  7. Here's a pic that was taken in 1942, my grandfather bought Edwards a few years after this was taken. I don't know what model Autocar this is.
  8. I like your wagon work platform...a heck of a lot better than a ladder.
  9. I'm not a huge IH fan but I saw that there's a big show this weekend...August 16-18 at Historic Waco Airfield & Museum in Troy, Ohio. Supposed to be a lot of trucks & tractors there!

  10. Looks like a new truck! Two thumbs up.
  11. It's pretty sad when they have enough time on their hands to hunt for silly code violations to ding folks on. My neighbor's yard looks like a trash heap and they don't bother her.
  12. To me, that was about the most impressive truck at Macungie this year as far as quality of workmanship and attention to detail (aside from at least one Pfahl restoration).
  13. What is he saying when the Fords sit out in the weather but the Chevy gets to be indoors? ;-)
  14. I sure do like that Eazor F model! I see it has tubeless bias-ply tires...probably back when they were first switching over from tube-type.
  15. We went to the Hartford Fair tractor & truck pulls on Sunday night; the OSTPA really does a good job putting on the show. Here's a few decent photos...they had 80 hooks, but we didn't get that many good photos. Here's Kendra Dauer's R model with a Cat engine: A nice Superliner with a KT Cummins: A slick-looking Pete putting a little twist in the frame rails: Thought I'd throw in a tractor, this is a sharp-looking IH:
  16. I like those 5 hole polished budds!!
  17. Neat truck! It looks plenty old, I agree that it's probably 1940's.
  18. Nice! Looks like a former fire truck with that spotlight.
  19. The Evel F model was on display at the Mack Museum (still there?). It looks beautiful. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/42961-mack-trucks-historical-museum-evel-knievel-display/?tab=comments#comment-314292
  20. Those are some nice Broncos...I like the open back blue one.
  21. That one looks like a Hayes to me.
  22. Great advice...check all intake pipes and inside the turbo. When I start a truck that's been sitting a long time, I like to pull the valve covers and pour the new oil over the rockers so it runs down over the lifters, crank, etc. Pressurizing the oil passages would be even better.
  23. Nice looking setup!

    Doesn't look too bad. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Mack-R-700-Heavy-Haul-Truck-Pull/293160411860?hash=item4441b8e2d4:g:aJsAAOSwzfNdNQk6
  25. I'm glad the folks who want to forget US history haven't had any of those monuments removed.
