  1. Unfortunately, I no longer drive a Peterbilt. Might as well delete this picture. It was one of my favorites.
  2. I think that's what I would do. Too bad you don't have a Peterbilt, looks like it's shaped just right to cover up a Pete emblem.
  3. flexi-van does railroad piggy back trailer and container chassis leasing, but I have no idea what it is you have there. best hang on to it, it's obviously very rare and very valuable.
  4. we went from Oliver tractors to dead cows, to bald eagles, to swallows, to Oliver tractors- one of the reasons I love this site!
  5. I thought he made tractors and farm equipment- no, wait, that was John Deere...never mind, it's that memory thing again.
  6. Let's try out my new audio enhancing feature and see if he said anything...
  7. There's no question that it's a bald eagle- it's very easily identified in this picture that I zoomed in as tight as I could, then used my computer image enhancing software to enhance the image of the bald eagle in the picture that...never mind, see for yourself-
  8. I'm with you fellars*! (Delmar, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?) *except for that "i AM from Jersey" part
  9. Amen Brother Randy!
  10. That is the car. That's him! My memory ain't what it used to be. Neither is anything else for that matter.
  11. "This forum is for non-truck related topics. Talk about interesting web sites, current events, tell jokes, post funny photos...etc." but no political opinions,eh?..good bye freedom of speech here, unless it's popular or politically correct?
  12. The things you threw away years ago that you wish you had saved now! I had a Hot Rod magazine that had an article about Doug Cook shortly after he'd passed away. Or was it somebody else? ..I'm not sure now. That's why I wish I still had it. Pretty sure it was the Stone,Woods, and Cook Willys gasser...but maybe not. Anyway, the article was about how fast and how fearless he was. I remember it saying the chassis was little more than exhaust tubing, when he'd leave the line it would jump straight up in the air and when it came down, sometimes straight, usually sideways, he'd slam another gear and was gone. He was bald on top, and known for driving it all out, "balls to the wall". Maybe some of you will know more about who i'm talking about than I do.
  13. .
  14. Thanks David, I wouldn't want to jump in someone else's thread without permission or authorization ( ) but I ran across a few good ones.
  15. This made me think of Rowdy Rebel...he takes a little different approach.
  16. You just need to read this 14 volume set of books Mike. Rob did, and look at how well him and "momma" get along now.
  17. I did too, but I had to vote it back down due to the dust bunny report.
  18. The real thing turned out pretty good.
  19. Amen brother! (bulldogman)
  20. Thank you anyway, but 1 sweet potato pie is worth many, many, cow pies- maybe more than punkin' pies. And 6 KIDS?!!...have you found out what's causing them? Nice picture of the cow pie too- very clear and detailed.
  21. I got up at midnight last night, drank 2 pots of coffee, prepped a turkey and had it smoking by 3am, cooked sweet potatoes and made 3 pies, cooked a ham, (well, ok,the instructions said to cook it for 12-15 minutes per pound but it was already cooked, just had to heat it up all the way through I think), and got them giblet things boiling now. Then I did some important research on the internet just as a public service. My son and his wife were coming over today, but they changed his schedule- he works at the Wal-Mart store in Appomattox- so he can't come until tomorrow. OK, can't help that. Jo's son and his girlfriend were coming over too but they just called and said they couldn't make it either. They invited themselves, as usual- he just rubs me the wrong way, but it's her son. 40 years old by the way. Makes me want to lock the door and leave in the morning to go see Mom and Dad. Was going to do that tomorrow anyway, but put it off until Saturday when Morgan said he couldn't come until tomorrow. My Daddy just turned 80 last week. Hope every one has a wonderful Thanksgiving, I am so far, and thanks for Barry and BMT, and thanks for an outlet to vent, I feel much better.
  22. Yeah, i'm sure Carter Cat misses me, as I was a regular there. But, people would tell me on the cb regularly that that was a good looking Pete- might have been the service crew that was secretly following me. Guess I won't hear that any more, since i'm driving a plain vanilla KW now. "The days of the big horsepower are over"...Jeff Moore,2011.
  23. so that's how pumpkin pies are made- I never knew! One sweet potato pie is worth a thousand pumpkin pies...just my opinion. So I made the sweet potato pie equivalent of 3,000 pumpkin pies.
  24. this is where it was- By the way, great looking truck, eh? I sure do miss it.
  25. yes, I would think you're ok- it was cast right on the spring hangers on the Peterbilt I used to drive, only way to get it off would be with a grinder. Peterbilt...low air leaf...man, that was a great truck- I sure do miss it.
