  1. it won't, Elroy ground all the markings offen it.
  2. I would if I could, but I do not have a fax machine. All I have is a printer, copier, scanner and the scanner is dead and the printer is marginal. Looks like it's cooking nicely in the smoker though, I think it'll be done shortly, looks like the automatic timer pop-up button is starting to automatically pop up.
  3. Another scandal involving a presidential candidate!
  4. thighs are good too, in fact under rated in my opinion...thighs.
  5. just got mine on the grill, 3 am. I have no idea really how long it'll take to cook, but I do have a plan. I'll smoke it until 9 or 10, then put it in a covered roasting pan and put some charcoal in the main part of the grill. I'm just using the offset firebox now, with charcoal and oak. You're welcome to come on over and try it this afternoon.
  6. You're just a little bit west of Milton. Been running there all week to Engines Incorporated- you can see it right by I-64.
  7. tryptophan...where's my book that 'splains what stuff is...starts with a "D"...oh yeah, dictionary...oh, there it is- holding up the corner of the couch that the leg broke off of.
  8. I didn't get to watch the NASCAR race Sunday, but I heard that Michelle and Mrs. Biden were there and they were loudly booed by the race fans.
  9. conversation went something like this- "Elroy, I think I got that old Peterbilt 'spension out there by the corn field sold. See if that super M will start, and drag it up here so we can grind the Peterbilt emblems offen them there spring hangers. Then paint over them with the good paint-use the krylon, not the dollar store paint-or that feller won't want it iffen he sees Peterbilt or PACCAR on it anywheres." "I'm on it boss!"
  10. I used to go to Richmond dragway about every weekend in the '70's. It was the local track, had some fast cars but they didn't have what you'd call "big time" national events or anything. But I did go to the old Suffolk, Va. drag strip where they did have NHRA events. The track was on an old airport runway, don't know if it's still in existance or not, but that's where I saw a couple of 66 or 67 ChevyII Novas running 11 second 1/4 mile times with 6 cylinder engines. Had never seen such before. There was also an early model solid black corvette that I liked turning 10.0's with one of the old GMC 6 cylinders in it. It had wheelie bars on it and when it left the front wheels would come up about 6 inches and every time he hit another gear they'd hop up about 6 inches. Ran straight every time- and fast! I still remember this, these were my favorite cars to watch, 10 to 12 second cars with 4 speeds, like Freightrain's, rather than top fuel or funny cars.
  11. This is from an e-mail sent by a friend in Australia- While walking along the cliffs to the entrance of Mooloolaba harbour on Sunday morning I noticed a Muslim extremist slip from the cliffs and fall into the Pacific Ocean. He was struggling to stay afloat because of all the explosives he had been carrying. If he didn't get help he'd surely drown. Being a responsible citizen, and abiding by the law of the land that requires you to help those in distress, I informed Brisbane Police and the Federal Police. It is now 4 p.m.., he has drowned, and neither authority has yet responded. I'm starting to think I wasted two stamps.
  12. I'm done too. Think i'll try to smoke a turkey on the grill- never tried it before, the old outdoor oven does a fine job, and I didn't have time to smoke a test turkey- but i'm gonna go for it. I left Sunday and ran 3 mill rolls to Milton and 3 back, i'll fire the grill up early in the morning and commence to cooking. Traffic was already getting heavy yesterday, wouldn't want to be on the W.V. Turnpike now. Last night at 10 o'clock it was raining, traffic was heavy, and the fourwheelers could only manage about 40 mph.
  13. sure looks good. I clicked on this post and my first word when I saw the picture was "damnnnn..."
  14. Thanks, good advice.
  15. I don't know either, looks like Roadway colors but I don't recognize the wrap around back glass.
  16. that's another problem with ths new truck- I can't even hear the engine!
  17. Speaking of railroads, a Liberty University student was killed Thursday night when five students walked out onto the railroad bridge that crosses the James river between Lynchburg and Madison Heights. She was hit by a train and killed, one jumped or fell 80 to 100 feet down to the river bank and was seriously injured, the other three survived by two of them jumping onto a piling and the other hung below the tracks by his arms.
  18. Hi there Speed, indeed, don't be a stranger. I'm afraid to ask what you've been doing...
  19. must be this one. looks just like Randy's. wonder how fast you have to be going around the bend to roll a bulldozer over?
  20. that's what the one in the picture is- even looks like western Ky, with the Mack beside it.
  21. here's some from "one quick beer"- what, that's not funny?..never mind then, I thought they were funny.
  22. yeah, he might as well bid on that V8 DM to move all that, and just use Killer for the light work.
  23. Thanks, great stuff- imagine what Randy could do with that!
  24. The great varmint hunt... I couldn't get to randy's gallery, so I did a google image search for kamatsu dozers- never knew they made dozers this big! must be the biggest dozer ever,eh?
  25. I remember the days of driving cabovers and having to stop at night when it got cool, then jack the cab up to turn the water on going to the heater core. Had those round spigot valves like on your outside garden hose spigots, except you had to turn them forever to turn them on or off. Then the next day it would get hot, so you'd stop somewhere and jack the cab up and shut the water off again, or you could just feel the heat coming in, even with the heater off. Then I had a Freightliner with shut-off valves that you only had to turn a quarter turn, now you don't have to worry about it.
