  2. E7 Gray Or Mp 7 -8 Red ??? If its a Gray engine you may have to replace the compressor Head! They get carboned up!
  3. Yup you have posted this in the right spot for replies ! So most people here are former or current Employees or owners ! Most guys don't like dealing with deletes as there are so many variables Mac pro is one of several guys here still current and may be able to assist ! I Am Not and have never been A MP engine fan So my Advice is only Observation and hearsay ! So listen up to what he has to say! Others may chine in They may try to help How ever Deleted engines make it hard to work with ! I do have one suggestion and that would be unplug the EGR Valve and see if this changes your situation It will throw a code But if the power gets worse or better it may give you a direction to go!
  4. Bro absolutely no way your making 47 boost! So try and observe if you are trailing grey black smoke while pulling hard ! If you are then start looking for boost leaks you cant keep blindly throwing parts to expensive! Common Failures are Aftercooler cracks The steel tube that goes behind the engine that feeds the air compressor has a hose at either end that can burst! There is a whole bunch of guys on this site that will lend a hand to try and help just keep checking back here! Check for a crack top rh charge air cooler and them hoses I talked about! Others may chime in with other fixes! You needed to have created your own post for this however! when you post here present All of the truck info And All of the stuff you have done so far! the model /year and hp rating really help nail things down We will try to help! Right now I'm confused as to what engine it is no EGR on trucks 2004 and earlier !So what year and model of truck is it! I am currently giving advice for a non EGR Engine! Makes A big difference! If you have an EGR engine it is possible to plug the boost blow off and acheive over 40 psi boost! It sounds like you got the fuel aside from some programing glitch or boost leaks your truck should pull!
  5. Bro so what kind of boost is the truck developing! ? you should be developing 30 psi boost depending on horse power rating! Thinking boost leak here! Trailing smoke pyro running hot!?
  6. OK some is there anyone who can check the codes on the trans? again ! Try a new boost sensor maybe!
  7. trans make model ? Mack trans? If its a Mack trans disconnect the torque limit switch a the rear shift cyl!
  8. check fuel pressure u need 60 plus pounds at full load to run strong if its an ETEC ! You need 15-20 plus ideally 25 if it has a Robert bosch pump! check fuel tank vent change fuel filters if you find below spec fuel psi !
  9. bottom rad should have a drain either on the bottom rad tube or the rad likley the tube! You only need to drain 5 or so gallons of coolant to do this! I f you haven't changed the coolant in a while wouldn't hurt to change it All ! install new 50 /50 coolant! Probably 14 gals or so!

  13. Yes ! Unfortunately you need to finish what you started Or you could end up in a pickle! You need to post your whole story here just deleting the EGR WILL Not fix It if there is another existing problem! Stuck VGT Etc.
  14. Joe the timing changes by year and model I think ? Its mostly emissions related I think ! I noticed over the years as time went on the timing went up on degree a year for the same HP engine up to 22 Just seemed like it anyway!?
  15. Glenn as you know it will defiantly run fine at at 18 ! Why are you checking it? Are you having issues? I don't have my manual either so I can be precise ! I how ever noticed that over the years the timing changed as the years past for emission reasons I believe ! I seen em set anywhere from 17 -22 !Depending on pumps ambac or robby !

  18. Nope they break for some reason likley heat related from the EGR coming into the top! Pro mentions a bulletin check into it I was not aware of the bulletin! The new manifold comes with a new gasket but not the bolts ! in my mind it SHOULD come with new bolts TOO ( A Kit) how ever This is a Volvo owned company they nickel and dime for everything!!😡 I was heavy into vehicle inspection just before my retirement this last Feb I would look for these bolts being missing while checking over all the other functions! Found a fare few! I always looked it was fairly common! So when you buy your new manifold Ask the part guy for bolts cause they likely wont offer them!
  19. if you found a cracked intake you likly already have a broken bolt! is the crack at the front just below were the egr tube enters ? if so look for a missing bolt at the bottom
  20. Exhaust gaskets ? turbo gasket ?Utube gasket (the tube that attaches the egr cooler to the exhaust side egr valve )this little devil is a pain to nail down AND a horses ass to repair! ! If you can catch the truck when its ready to regen this noise will show up during a regen if it is indeed the you tube gasket ! During regen ! while the noise is present pour hot water all over the pipe and joints if the sound changes you have found your issue! Just something to try!

Front mount maybe the question here as , the engine evolves to 4 valve the mounts on the front start to change from trunnion mount to pedestal mounts !It will all depend on the donor engine front mount !Long as both engines have a front steel cover all should fit! as for cabs the rd has unique mounts how ever its all bolts and nuts so I believe this here is doable as well with some swapping ! not sure on the hood you would have to compare them your self see if its doable!
  22. Yup the plastic peices have a tang formed on them! they come in a small bag with various sizes when you by a new tack cable I'm not sure they come separately! you could ask!
  23. Anything is possible try a different filter brand first!
