  1. Hi Bro! welcome to the site ! would you kindly post this in your own thread it will get a lot better press as a new topic also post your symptoms and what lead up to your issue! This is a real old post! This will encourage more help on the subject!
  2. The lash adjusters have a few orings i believe and one under the rockers pedestal is all used to be able to rebuild them if I remember then they were offered as complete units! as with most things now not likley to find any these days!
  3. Good find bro!
  4. I think if he has the time swap the bits over wouldn’t take more than 6 hrs and if it doesn’t work he still has a running engine don’t have to swap back!just leave it!the valve set is the same 16/24 just sayin
  5. That is very possible I heard the same as you but never confirmed it! Chances are your engine has the Dynatard cam and all you need is the push tubes and rocker gear to make it work And wiring of coarse ! If you have a donor engine you could swap the rockers and push tubes and see what happens! if you want to invest the time! Just sayin!
  6. So go to the front of the intake manifold and look at the bottom bolts they tend to break or come loose directly below were the /egr tube enters the manifold if bolts are missing check for a crack in the manifold at the bottom where the bolts are missing! A place to start!
  7. The only way I can think of is with a dial indicator on the exhaust push rod or rocker aad check for the dynatard bump on the back side of the cam!
  8. thanx for posting your fix bro!
  9. Lots of one hit wonders out there bro don’t sweat it!
  10. Yup Joe you nailed it! most of them already know everything! No point in trying! Your experience means nothing!
  11. Yup I read this post awhile back and wondered about it thought I’d wait and see if there was more to the story but now I had to ask!
  12. I don’t think we should be seeing any smoke is it deleted?
  13. It will be fine! Rtv is fine!
  14. I am no guru here on this subject however are you using PTT ? You May need to do Learned Data RESET for this not sure!?
  15. Bro Its an oring! You can improvise with A good RTV silicone sealant you'll have to drain and dri everything ! put rtv on each bolt as you install them!
  16. I have suggestion! Convert to a 32 litre pan and just replace the oil pickup!
  17. Ahh I see! Very confused by this! that shit should be being filtered out! to my way of thinking! not returned to the fuel tank! what ever! hope it stays running good for you that's all you can hope for!
  18. Unfortunately true at least you got a bit of a warranty! That said, the parts from Volvo/ Mack are sourced from anywhere in the world its a United nations engine ! That pump may have been made at the very same place and you got a bad one! Thanx for posting a fix! But where is the soot coming from or did I read something wrong? you have two different issues here! ? Just sayin!
  19. If you remove the valve covers and pull the injector hold downs you will see fuel on top of the injector ! this will cost nothing to do just a little time! that way you can confirm what Mack Pro is saying! just remember to torque them back in if you find nothing!
  20. I when out on a service call twice to the same truck on its side same dump trailer! To cut the fifth wheel off second time was able to drive it back to the shop! Fun stuff 🤨
  21. Bro post your year and model in a new thread we may be able to sort you out!

Bob you may be right about the x15 However Every time I hear one of these take off from a stop it sounds like they are coming apart under the hood! They sound ugly to me ! Don't know what it is some sort of fuel knock or something! I'm not a huge Cummins Fan having had to deal with there political jargon if your running one of there engines and there is and issue with it! We had a few Cummins powered trucks and if you don't have a Cummins trained Dude on staff For that particular engine to bandaid the thing your likely to get stiffed if you got a warranty concern! So the Mom is scheduled to come out of the Mash unit this week Maybe and straight to a care home if she don't catch another disease be for she gets there! here's for hoping!
  23. I’m sure there are some! How ever find em!
  24. You would be hard pressed to find any one with your work ethic these days! Very very few and far between!
  25. trying to be optimistic! Joe! How ever! Slackurds yup known my share!
